Chapter 62: The Paradigm and the Trio
Science Fantasy Sex Story: Chapter 62: The Paradigm and the Trio - Three young people represent Earth in a battle with our powerful ancestors who seeded us and terraformed Earth. It is a battle against people who believe Earth has lost its way, and they intend to destroy Earth if it does not comply. They are so far ahead of us that they are Godlike but are biased and irrational and prepared to inflict pain without compunction.

‘Please join us, Keresen and Vendelin. The Council wants to ask us questions. Will you agree to be observers researching our behavior?’ Brendan asked telepathically.
Both smiled telepathically and agreed.
Brendan turned to Adaobi. ‘We will speak telepathically so our advisors can follow what we say. We want the ancients to be observers if we agree to receive questions. Please emphasize to the Council we are not citizens of the Paradigm. We will answer questions if they answer our questions. For every question they ask, we are entitled to ask them a question.’
Adaobi smiled and returned to the Councilors. She re-emerged half an hour later. ‘They agree with your conditions but want to know why you are doing what you are doing?’
Brendan, David, and Ashlyn laughed.
‘We will walk back with you, Adaobi.’
A pair of ancients accompanied the trio. Dorel followed Adaobi.
The ancients strolled to the back of the room. The trio and Dorel sat on benches on a slightly raised dais in the front.
Adaobi requested everyone to use telepathy.
‘I will start the questions,’ stated Ihita Hemant. ‘Some of us think you are spying on the Council. How do you answer that?’
‘That is an improbable hypothesis. What evidence do you have to support your hypothesis, Ihita?’
‘You have constantly involved yourself in the affairs of the Council,’ Ihita shouted. ‘We did not ask for your opinion.’
‘How did we involve ourselves with the Council?’ Brendan asked.
‘You three and now the previous Supreme Queen are in our affairs. Then you recruit the ancients.’
‘The evidence points to the Council being over-involved in our lives. We did not ask to join the cultivation ship. We did not ask to be given Neruk. One of you chose to fly to the ship and chose to give us her own Neruk. Then, she decided to punish us for making inconvenient discoveries. She decided to punish us on spurious grounds and decided to send assassins to kill us. Adaobi asked to see us later. She sent us into a volatile situation to learn how to communicate with the XaX. After we recovered from our horrific injuries, your Councilors demanded to interrogate us. One of you was a traitor and brought along assassins. Once again, your actions led to us sustaining life-threatening injuries.’
‘Not once did we initiate contact with the Council. In every interaction I described, you were the ones to initiate contact.’
‘Now I have a question. What evidence can you produce that shows you are making decisions and planning to keep the Paradigm safe? Ihita, would you like to start as you asked us the first question?’
‘We have discussed the problem,’ said Ihita after a few seconds.
‘Ihita, you have not addressed the question. Please answer.’ Brendan demanded.
‘We are doing the best we can!’ Ihita hissed triumphantly.
‘Please explain in detail what decisions and planning you have made to keep the Paradigm safe.’
Ihita remained silent.
‘Can you explain how you address the crises killing your people?’
Brendan shook his head. ‘What is your fucking planning process?’
No one answered.
‘Well, if you don’t intend to make some plans, none of you deserve your jobs.’
‘How dare you ask us to resign?’
‘What risk do I take? I am not a citizen of the Paradigm. None of you knows how to behave like a proper leader. You have no idea how to deal with the massive problems on your plates. You are wasting time while your people die. You have no idea what to do, but you listen to no one and are paranoid about everything. You argue incessantly and accuse others of malign actions to divert yourselves from your incompetence. You are not all incompetent. I know at least two of you are competent, but your behavior is a disgrace to your people. The Paradigm likes to believe it acts on evidence. Your scientists might, but you don’t want observers because you know you are driving the Paradigm into failure and collapse. Ihita, I don’t believe you can competently dress; never mind, work on a plan to save the Paradigm.’
‘Ask us another question,’ said Brendan.
‘Would you three consider leading the Council?’ Asked Adaobi.
The Councilors exploded. Some screamed at Adaobi, and several stormed out.
The trio knew all the Councilors that remained. Surprisingly, Ihita remained behind.
‘So, mister, best dressed in the class, how do you propose leading the Council?’ Asked Ihita, first looking at Brendan and then down at her white peasant-style dress.
