Chapter 58: Life with the Ancients
Science Fantasy Sex Story: Chapter 58: Life with the Ancients - Three young people represent Earth in a battle with our powerful ancestors who seeded us and terraformed Earth. It is a battle against people who believe Earth has lost its way, and they intend to destroy Earth if it does not comply. They are so far ahead of us that they are Godlike but are biased and irrational and prepared to inflict pain without compunction.

“So we might need to be here for a month or two before they can get us back,” said Ashlyn after dinner.
The Council gave them a set of rooms and showed them how to access the facilities. Then, the Council retired to plan what happened next.
“It’s more like they must find where to go and get a ship ready to take us,” said Brendan. “We will travel at least halfway across the universe.”
“What will the taxi ride cost?” David asked.
“The small tyrannosaurus rex mumbled something about ‘there will be a price’ but said nothing further,” Brendan remarked. “Even if we find out who the traveler is, how will that person know how to navigate back?”
“Brendan, where did you land up in this construct?” David asked.
“In this section. I had no idea I was wandering in and through people’s homes,” said Brendan.
“When I arrived, I thought I was in a nightmare, trying to find my way out of a maze. It looks like a lot of empty rooms.”
“They keep everything in transdim space,” said David. “Once you pack everything away for the day, the place is like any empty apartment block.”
“Where did you come out, David?” Brendan asked.
“We landed in the farming area,” said Ashlyn, “except for you.”
“What happened?” Brendan asked.
“Messa landed up in a tank of some horrible-smelling stuff. She was panicking as the XaX hated water. David, Imra Atra, and I went into the tank to fish her out. Dorel, Messa, and Dridget were frozen in place and of no help whatsoever. When we got her out, a group of amused ants watched us. The XaX turned into ants, and the whole group got chummy fast. Then, when we all also changed, they were impressed,” said Ashlyn.
“They were fascinating,” said Dorel. “They came from a galaxy where the ambient radiation was intense, much closer to the center of the universe, billions of years ago. Most of the suns in their galaxy have burned out. They have traveled between universes and are so far ahead of us we can’t even imagine some of what they can do.”
“People, can we recreate what we did when we initiated this trip?” Brendan asked.
They sat on bench seats around the table. “I remember exactly what happened,” said David. “We speculated that a group of ancients would be helpful in the arduous task of getting the Council to do their jobs. We sat on our cushions while high on something or other, thinking about how to find this wonderful group of ancients. Then suddenly, here we are!”
“The Brainiacs, the XaX, and the ancients in the pearls didn’t do it. Why did we think another group of ancients would do the job?” Asked Brendan.
“We were on a trip; usual logic does not apply,” said Ashlyn.
“Any one of us could be the traveler or all of us,” said Dorel. “How could we find this place?”
“None of us knew about these aliens. Why would we think this group could help us?” David asked.
“Could more of us be travelers? Brendan arrived separately. Does it mean something?” Dridget asked. “We initiated this trip ourselves. We cannot know how it happened and how we got here. We also know nothing about travelers.”
“For now, we are stuck. I am tired, and it’s past bedtime,” said Brendan. “Let’s sleep on it.”
“No, I will sleep on it,” said Imra, giggling. “Lie back; you can slip into something warm. Come on, guys, get a room. I’m ready to go.”
The others laughed. “All I want to do is sleep,” said David.
“Tonight, you are mine, or at the latest, tomorrow morning,” said Ashlyn. “Are you coming, Dorel? It’s time to try monkey sex.”
“We propose examining your views of the skies and comparing what you see with our charts,” said Vendelin, the bigger tyrannosaurus.
“How will you do it?” Asked Messa.
“We pull out your memories and input them into the AI, and then the AI will search for your images of the skies. Our charts are a bit old, so we are modernizing them simultaneously. This is an exciting exercise.”
“Will you put our brains together once you finish pulling out the memories,” Ashlyn asked. “I hope I can do without all those memories.”
Vendelin looked at Ashlyn. “Child, you have a wicked sense of humor. That is not the kind of joke someone from a primitive planet should play on someone of my vintage.”
“I suppose you have a mathematical model of the universe and have previously mapped what you observed. You will compare the model with observations from probes in place and probes you send out?” David asked.
“That is precisely what we are doing; that was an advanced idea, way beyond what I thought you would think. I am impressed. No matter how carefully one builds a model, we do not always predict the timing of events that alter where objects move. Black holes are unpredictable, as are many supernovae, amongst other phenomena. We have often made errors when one galaxy collides and passes through another. Once we narrow down the region you come from, we will saturate it with probes,” said Vendelin.
