Chapter 50: Imra’s Parents

Science Fantasy Sex Story: Chapter 50: Imra’s Parents - Three young people represent Earth in a battle with our powerful ancestors who seeded us and terraformed Earth. It is a battle against people who believe Earth has lost its way, and they intend to destroy Earth if it does not comply. They are so far ahead of us that they are Godlike but are biased and irrational and prepared to inflict pain without compunction.

“Sindiso, our people are waiting for us. The ship is ready to go, and the Drunduh drop-ships are disgorging rampaging soldiers. Can we go?” Celani, Imra’s mother, asked.

“The pearls say not yet. Are our weapons ready, Celani?”

“Everything has been ready for an hour. The tension is killing me. Perhaps the Pearls are wrong?” Celani asked. Sindiso watched the news, the bag with the precious Pearls of Allysium strung around his neck.

“I don’t want to become a food zombie in a Drunduh cargo ship,” said Celani, interrupting him.

“We can leave now,” said Sindiso, picking up his two assault rifles and slinging them around his neck.”

Celani switched on the portal.

“No, dear, we are taking the train. We can’t travel through our portal with the pearls.”

Celani grated her teeth. “Sometimes, I want to chuck those precious pearls into the ocean. Let some other suckers serve the pearls.”

“I have often felt as you do. Be patient; we are close to the endgame. We have survived before, and we will survive today. There is a lesson we must yet learn,” said Sindiso, patiently closing the front gate and striding with Celani to the portal down to the station two thousand meters below.

“We are cutting it fine, Sindiso; I can see the Drunduh drop-ships.”

“Our test is below; first, try the army assault weapon, then the projectile weapon suggested by Brendan. I hope you didn’t modify his concept.”

They took the portal to the platform a thousand meters below the ground.

The couple strode to the platform and paid by waving a hand. “We’re lucky this is the last train,” said Celani. “Did we have to cut it this fine?”

“Get your assault rifle ready. Did you modify Brendan’s idea? You didn’t answer.”

“Of course I did. The Drunduh shield will stop a high-speed projectile. Brendan suggested a heavy, slow-moving slug. I built a tiny high-speed projectile that slows, drills through the shield, burrows into the Drunduh then explodes. I can carry ten thousand projectiles with ease. I used his ideas and concepts and built a better weapon. I know our assault rifle won’t do the job. I didn’t bring a grenade launcher; it was heavy, and I can’t carry a load of grenades.”

“They will come down the stairs; brace yourself, Celani; the train doesn’t leave for two minutes.”

“Are you crazy? It’s a long way down and thousands of steps. There are millions of people. Why would the Drunduh go down a set of narrow stairs?”

Sindiso took cover and aimed at the opening to the stairwell.

Celani shook her head and then did the same.

Sindiso fired and then ditched the assault rifle. Celani fired a sustained burst and did the same. “At least try properly.”

Celani grinned at her husband and aimed the projectile weapon. “I told you our assault rifles do nothing. Watch this.”

While the plasma streams ineffectually glanced off the Drunduh shields, the first burst of projectiles punched through the leading Drunduh’s forcefield and instantly the following six Drunduh. They stopped and then slowly keeled over, chunks of flesh exploding from their bodies. Drunduh, after Drunduh, dived through the door and died a gruesome death until there were no more.

As the train siren signaled its imminent departure, the pair dived onto the train. There were only three other nervous passengers: an older woman and her two grandchildren. As the train accelerated out of the station, Celani fired at the next batch of Drunduh through the window. She then settled back onto her seat next to her husband. “A bit of action always relaxes me. The last bloody train! You are too much, my love.”

Sindiso smiled at his wife.

The express train passed through a barrier into a vacuum, racing to its destination half a world away. The trip would take two hours.

Sindiso watched the news on his cube.

“What’s new?” Asked Celani.

“Our navy is ineffectual against them, as is our military. You, my wife, are a genius. That weapon of yours is superb. We will take the hard portal to the ship from the station. I expect we will face the Drunduh when we leave.”

“What do the pearls say?” Celani asked, looking at her husband.

“Nothing. We have no further directions. The Drunduh did not come to this side of the planet. The station will be secure. They are not invading in force. They came, fed, and took food away.”

“Hi Biran, what’s the situation?” Celani asked.

“I’m pleased you used the hard portal at the station. I wouldn’t like to de-cloak with all the Drunduh ships buzzing around. Our navy is helpless. Neither the orbital platforms nor the ground defenses can lock on the intruders. Our naval weapons bounce off the Drunduh shields. Once we fire up our engines, there is a risk they will detect us at such proximity,” said Capt. Biran Kuyateh. “Are you sure our new weapons will work?

“I want to blast the ships nearest to us. I must know what works and what doesn’t,” said Celani.
