Chapter 40: Business discussions

Science Fantasy Sex Story: Chapter 40: Business discussions - Three young people represent Earth in a battle with our powerful ancestors who seeded us and terraformed Earth. It is a battle against people who believe Earth has lost its way, and they intend to destroy Earth if it does not comply. They are so far ahead of us that they are Godlike but are biased and irrational and prepared to inflict pain without compunction.

‘Thank you very much for taking us on a tour of this magnificent ship. The meal was extraordinary and a joy to the eye. I had no idea that beings could create such beautiful living places. Undoubtedly, a genius produced the idea of a bed and a chair where you can adjust the gravity. I knew the words cleanser and clothier but could not imagine it,’ said the Supreme Queen.

‘How did you like the cleanser?’

‘I can understand why Ashlyn missed it so much. The smell the cleanser gave me is also appealing. We are warm-blooded like you are and never considered clothing. We only heat or cool our environments. We must explore clothing; it will help us on cold planets. The clothier is also an amazing device. If we purchased ships like this, could guests from the Paradigm live in them until we build our own?’

‘We will discuss the concept of a purchase versus a lease in detail with you,’ said Imra, explaining how people buy or lease a hotel and how guests pay to stay there.

‘Once trading starts, you will need many hotels,’ said Atra.

“Let us continue the discussion about your idea of us partnering with you in a company. How would it work?” The Queen asked.

Atra and Imra explained and discussed a cadetship program for XaX to experience how to operate a business.

“How many could you take?”

‘It is hard to estimate how fast we would grow. We will need your experts and technicians for product support and education.’

They continued talking until it was time to visit the hospital.

‘I’m sorry to say, ladies, your idea won’t work,’ said Brendan wearily after he heard what they had been doing.

‘What do you mean?’ Atra asked. ‘We put a lot of work into this.’

‘Everything you do here will be simple. You will face overwhelming resistance when you start setting up back home.’

“Why do you say that, Brendan?” Imra asked.

‘I’m tired, so I will try to make it short. Imra, who in your family is on the Council? Do I remember correctly it was your mother’s father?’

‘Yes, Grandpa is in the medical division because we make the bigger parts of our medical beds’ diagnostic and treatment systems.’

‘If you do it your way, the Council will mess things up for you. Something horrible will happen. Find out where they are, speak to your grandparents separately, and arrange a meeting. If you can’t get them to commit to your ideas fully, you will never get this project off the ground,’ said Brendan.

‘I can’t go to grandma after everything has happened and ask for her help,’ said Atra. ‘My grandmother is a monster!’

‘Your grandmother sent us to the fleet to give us protection the best way she knew how. You don’t need to ask for her help. She will be desperate to be involved. Test her. Ask her advice on how to deal with the Council. Tell her you want to run a few ideas past her.’

‘She sent us off to an asteroid so that we couldn’t speak to you,’ said Atra.

‘She played a double game. She saw we couldn’t act, so she acted for us, pretending she wanted the Admiral to put us in the front and in danger to get rid of me and my sister and friend for whatever reason. She couldn’t let you interfere, and she knew the family would be upset, so she told Amazu what she was doing and kept him out of the way. She is an arch manipulator. For this task, those are precisely the skills you need.’

“The family was furious, and I was ready to kill her.”

‘If I had called you both and said goodbye, you would have found a way to block grandma. She plays the game well.’

“Why didn’t she send Amazu Okparra with you?”

‘He is famous and is known as your family lawyer. If the family lawyer had accompanied us, the Admiral would have known something was off-kilter. We realized what she had done but were angry until we met the XaX. Without your grandmother, there is no way we would have had the opportunity to do what we did, and I doubt anyone else could’ve done it. I can’t say any more; I can’t keep my eyes open. Find a way; we will talk tomorrow.’

“I can call my grandpa,” said Imra. “We don’t need Adaobi.”
