Chapter 33: The Threat

Science Fantasy Sex Story: Chapter 33: The Threat - Three young people represent Earth in a battle with our powerful ancestors who seeded us and terraformed Earth. It is a battle against people who believe Earth has lost its way, and they intend to destroy Earth if it does not comply. They are so far ahead of us that they are Godlike but are biased and irrational and prepared to inflict pain without compunction.

“I was embarrassed they carried us to the portal. They are powerful. They hauled us up vertical tunnels. There is no way we could’ve got out!” David exclaimed.

“What do you think of infrared and sonar vision?” Ashlyn asked.

“It is beyond awesome; I forgot to get vertigo as I fiddled with my new vision,” said Brendan. “It takes some getting used to, but once you do, it is astounding. The XaX city is one of the most extraordinary things I have experienced. The buildings in the giant cavern were impressive.”

“Why are we traveling in a shuttle rather than going by portal?” David asked the XaX queen accompanying them.

“We want you to see the WarHouse. The Supreme Queen lives there. We are close; look at the holovid; your eyes can see it now,” said the XaX Queen Liaison.

“Oh, my heavens! That is bigger than the colossal dreadnought,” said David.

“It is one thousand times bigger than the biggest warship used by the Paradigm,” said the queen.

“Can it travel?” Brendan asked.

“Yes, we have one hundred and sixty of them; each commands a fleet. They can fly to our most distant planet in two hours,” said the Liaison.

“That is a fantastic achievement. Your people impress me more as each day passes,” said Ashlyn. “Hey, my cube has gone ballistic; there are hundreds of messages.”

“I will go through what has happened in our absence. First, I spoke to Atra and Imra. Atra told us how her grandmother sent them to an asteroid that blocked communications.” Brendan provided a summary of what happened from Atra’s perspective.

“What did you tell them?” David asked.

“After reassuring two hysterical women, I told them we were learning the language and trying to understand the XaX. I explained we would visit the Supreme Queen this afternoon and were on the mother of all battleships. I told her how much the Paradigm underestimated the XaX and how many more ants there were compared to the Paradigm. The Admiral will get the message. I reassured her that the XaX ants were treating us well, and I aimed to prevent a future war. I also told them we were collecting intelligence and the language was difficult. We needed more time here to establish a strategic alliance,” said Brendan.

“That was wise; it’s better not to go into detail until we think about it,” said David. “The XaX may or may not have a concept of a treaty, but if we can find a way to establish an agreement that will prevent hostilities, that will go a long way to making us less vulnerable. It’s worth getting the public on our side if we can achieve it. The XaX doctors are miles ahead of us medically—Ash and I want to see if we can get some ideas. She also has a suitable and advantageous plan for the XaX.”

David smiled at Ashlyn and opened his palm towards her. “Ash, please summarize what we did.”

“Now we are in space, and communications are superb; we connected the Brainiac here via the beetle in us, the cube, and then the Carapace back on the ship. After a fraction of a second, the Brainiacs connected directly rather than the snail’s pace previous link we tried. They don’t need us, so we left them having a cozy chat. Then we spoke to Seka. She was relieved to hear from us and was relieved we were safe. I told her we were learning new Development Concepts and would present our findings on our return. She only previously received fragments of our communication attempts.”

“Ash, did you ask about Councilor Parnok?”
