Chapter 30: Adaobi’s Yacht

Science Fantasy Sex Story: Chapter 30: Adaobi’s Yacht - Three young people represent Earth in a battle with our powerful ancestors who seeded us and terraformed Earth. It is a battle against people who believe Earth has lost its way, and they intend to destroy Earth if it does not comply. They are so far ahead of us that they are Godlike but are biased and irrational and prepared to inflict pain without compunction.

“What on Earth is this all about, Brendan?” David asked. “A platoon of soldiers comes to get us, and they put us in jail to wait for you. What’s going on?”

“I think Atra’s grandma stabbed us in the back in the nicest possible way. Now I think about it, it was a setup and a test. Then she extended the test.”

Ashlyn sighed, “So what’s the story?”

Brendan told them about his chat with Adaobi and her colleagues. “When I was finished with her, she wanted to talk with the lawyer and told me to pick up anything I wanted to take along. I looked for you and finally discovered what happened when I spoke to Prof. Seka Shohsukit. She didn’t know where the marines had taken you. I had no idea how to find the yacht. The way Adaobi Hollei described it, the yacht didn’t sound very pleasant. Ultimately, she jumped up, taking the lawyer with her, and left me to find my way out.”

“How did you find us?” David asked.

“I knew the Admiral would be with us, the one that hates men, the boss of the spooks. I knew Bingill could contact her. It took a while to find Bingill and then some more time to link up with the Admiral. Surprisingly, the Admiral was much friendlier than I had expected. She walked me to fetch you from the brig, and she, her hundred guards, and me and my ten guards will now take you to the ship to the front. She’ll be back soon. She went off to see someone.”

“We are on the way to a possible war with the Xax. What are the Xax?” Ashlyn asked, then turned to David. “Please shake me; I want to be sure I’m not in a dream.”

David shook her, snorting. “No, dear, you are still in the same nightmare.”

“Brother dear, what do you know about the Xax?”

“Sister darling, I know nothing about them, but no one can communicate with them. The Admiral said if she has some time, she will brief us or ask one of her officers to brief us.”

“Guys, this is a supplement or an appendix to our shared nightmare. As soon as we began to grasp what we were dealing with, someone pulled the rug out from under us.”

“How does Adaobi expect us to find a way to communicate with the Xax?” Ashlyn asked.

Brendan shrugged.

One of the majors opened the door and beckoned. “I’ll take you to the little yacht the Councilor told you about.” She laughed. “I don’t think we will suffer as much as she expects. It might be beneath her ladyship’s dignity, but it’s much more comfortable than a troopship. You might as well enjoy yourself before we all die.”

The major set a cracking pace. “The Xax are impossible to communicate with; you will see that yourself. You have an incredible task, and Adaobi will blame you and not us for the war when you fail. She must hate your guts.”

“Is that why the Admiral was pleasant to me?” Brendan asked.

The major turned to look at Brendan. “The Admiral and the Councilor hate each other. I believe the hate began in school and has only worsened over the years. The Admiral is hard to read most of the time, as she is one of the most devious people I have ever met. Being in intelligence for a lifetime does that to you. She wasn’t in a good mood before she met the Councilor, but her attitude improved considerably when she saw you. I suspect it’s like this: the enemy of your enemy is my friend. The Councilor said you are dispensable cannon fodder. The Admiral gave instructions to keep you as safe as possible without directly disobeying the Councilor’s orders. The Admiral suspects there is a trap for her somewhere in this.”

“The Adaobi was pleasant when we talked, but she surprised me. She planned to stab us in the back from the beginning. It was a blatant setup,” Brendan explained.

“What did you do to make her so vindictive?”
