Chapter 27: The Second Series of Interrogations

Science Fantasy Sex Story: Chapter 27: The Second Series of Interrogations - Three young people represent Earth in a battle with our powerful ancestors who seeded us and terraformed Earth. It is a battle against people who believe Earth has lost its way, and they intend to destroy Earth if it does not comply. They are so far ahead of us that they are Godlike but are biased and irrational and prepared to inflict pain without compunction.

Bingill Milgrull sat in one of the many small conference rooms facing Brendan. Thehmied Ziquets, sitting a few seats away, looked closely at Brendan. They turned to their cubes, which flashed red.

Bingill waved Brendan to a chair. “Excuse us, Brendan, we must attend to something urgent; we will return shortly.”

Five minutes later, they returned.

Brendan was much less anxious than in the first interrogation and smiled as he looked at the attractive pair. Bingill was olive-skinned, a few centimeters shorter than Brendan, and he thought she was gorgeous. He nodded unconsciously.

Bingill wore a black suit open to the waist with a silken cream blouse beneath. She wore a heavy silver bangle on her left wrist and a spiral of tightly wound thick gold coils around her neck. She wore a flat gold band on her right wrist that supported an intelligent electronic device. She had intense black eyes, so black he could not see her pupils, much like Seka. Her hair was glossy, lustrous, and ebony, tied back tightly in a small bun on her head, held together with silver pins that looked like tiny knitting needles. She had a cleft chin that accentuated her red lips.

Brendan turned to look at Thehmied as she concentrated on her holo-script, nibbling delicately on her lower lip. Her hair and eyes were much like Bingill’s; they could be mother and daughter, but Thehmied had a pale complexion. Her hair was wavy, somewhat unruly, covering her breast on the left side. He thought Thehmied was also stunning. Her lips were pink and full like Bingill’s. She wore a white top over her suit with a simple, thin gold band around her neck and hoop earrings.

Why were the investigators all women?

“Brendan, what happened with Councilor Parnok?”

“I have a presentation I can give you of the whole sorry mess, exactly as it happened and how I saw it. Will that be satisfactory?”

“How did you do that?”

“My AI made the presentation, and I’ve just sent it to your cubes. The AI edited out the blank spots and the time I slept or meditated.”

“How can you do that? I’ve never heard of such technology! Is it some form of magic from your planet?”

“No, it is some form of magic from the Paradigm. David and Ashlyn read manuals for pleasure. They decided to learn everything they could about what we could do with our AIs. They did every single tutorial. It’s in the manual.”

“Here it is, Bingill,” said Thehmied, showing her the holovid quickly. “It’s got sound! There is even a transcript. Brendan, this is awesome. You’ve saved us a lot of work.”

“Can you give us the executive summary?” Bingill asked.

Brendan summarized the events.

The two women asked him to clarify several points.

“Brendan, why were you looking at us so intently?” Bingill asked.

Brendan blushed. “I enjoy looking at you both as I think you are beautiful, and I appreciate your effort to look good. You look like sisters. May I ask why all the investigators are women?”

“It is purely a coincidence,” said Bingill.

Brendan looked at her and raised his eyebrows. “I believe you, but thousands wouldn’t.”

“We received a priority report as you were entering the room. That was what we were reading. Councilor Parnok placed a price on your heads, and the Admiral passed the information to the Council. The Council assigned the Councilor’s guards to you and sent further reinforcements.”

“How has the Council reacted?” Brendan asked.

“As you might expect, it is in an uproar. The behavior of Councilor Parnok was inexplicable and unacceptable. It once again divided the Council. The evidence against her has become an avalanche and goes beyond factional interests. My father and my maternal grandmother are both on the Council. They say this bizarre saga is an unusual and unprecedented series of events.”

“Which group are they in?” Brendan asked.

Bingill was unusually friendly and free with information. Brendan was suspicious.

“They are in the budget area and primarily deal with funding the military.”

“The Admiral must be happy to have you working for her. Does your family trust the Admiral?”

“You are correct about Thehmied. She is my cousin, my father’s youngest sister’s daughter.”
