Chapter 26: The Councilor Stricken
Science Fantasy Sex Story: Chapter 26: The Councilor Stricken - Three young people represent Earth in a battle with our powerful ancestors who seeded us and terraformed Earth. It is a battle against people who believe Earth has lost its way, and they intend to destroy Earth if it does not comply. They are so far ahead of us that they are Godlike but are biased and irrational and prepared to inflict pain without compunction.

The door exploded inward. Two soldiers dashed in while two others covered them, one on each side of the door. Several other soldiers entered the room. Seconds later, they called for medical assistance and beckoned to Ashlyn and David. “It’s under control; you can come in.”
“I hope Brendan wasn’t hurt—it all took so long,” said Ashlyn tearfully.
The lawyer, Amazu Okpara, poker-faced, looked around the room. The Councilor’s guards were standing facing the wall with soldiers behind them. Brendan was on his back with a medic working on him.
Ashlyn walked toward Brendan, with David following.
The Councilor lay on her side, supported by a soldier. Parnok alternately twitched and convulsed. The second medic worked on the gray Councilor, whose lips were blue.
“Brendan looks okay, but the Councilor is in a bad way,” said Ashlyn calmly.
David turned to the Lieutenant. “Lieutenant, do we know what happened?”
“Not yet. We want to stabilize the injured, then question the guards and examine the holo-vids. Which one spoke to you?”
David pointed toward Sgt. Uchu Ennid. “That is Sgt. Uchu Ennid. She was one of those who kept us informed. She told us she set up cameras and recorded the entire event from start to finish. Her boss ordered her to do it. The Council employs her, not the Councilor.”
Lieutenant Mazi Uchie approached the soldier guarding Sgt. Uchu Ennid then led her back to Ashlyn and David. Ashlyn and David smiled at her and nodded.
“Uchu, thank you very much for keeping us in the loop. Can you tell us what happened?” David asked.
“I must send the recordings to the Council, and then I will gladly show you what happened. I began recording long before my boss formally permitted me.”
Sgt. Ennid completed the task in seconds and returned to the group.
“After two previous attempts to punish Brendan failed because of her nausea, the Councilor decided to get treatment to suppress the symptoms. When she saw Brendan, she went into a rage and charged him but fell on the way. She touched his chest as she fell to the ground, bellowing loudly, face first, and onto the Neuro-shocker. As she lay there, she began to convulse. I think she managed to shock herself again.”
Sgt. Uchu Ennid exploded into laughter. David, Ashlyn, and the Lieutenant laughed with her.
“The stupid woman did it to herself twice; I can’t believe it,” said Ashlyn.
The doctors arrived, raised Brendan and the Councilor onto antigravity trolleys, and then whisked them away.
Sgt. Uchu Ennid turned to Lieut. Mazi Uchie. “She’s been going progressively crazier for the last month. I’ve known her for four years, and this behavior was unusual. I’ve seen people who had two Neuro-shocks. After the second, it took them a year to recover. May I call my boss? I also want to retrieve the ship holovids to send to her?”
The Lieutenant turned to her squad. “You can let all the guards go. They weren’t involved,” said Lieutenant Mazi Uchie. Thank you, sergeant. You were helpful.”
The lawyer, Amazu Okpara, approached. “May we talk privately? We have much to discuss.”
“Thank you very much for everything you’ve done, Lieut. Uchie. Is there anything more we need to do?” David asked.
She shook her head. “I have a few hours of administrative work to clean up this mess. I’ll catch up with you if I need to.”
The following morning, Brendan slowly regained consciousness. Atra was asleep next to him. Brendan was using the same device Silicaa had used with Ashlyn after the Councilor had shocked her. He was drowsy and once more fell asleep. When he next woke, Dr. Silicaa Shrissk was dismantling the device. Atra and Imra stood behind her, peering at him over the Doctor’s shoulder and frowning. “Good morning, Dr. Shrissk; how are you this morning? How are you, my darlings? I am delighted to see you both.” Both women beamed.
‘I’ve done all the work, and I’m not your darling. How is that fair?’ Dr. Shrissk asked sternly and telepathically.
Brendan laughed. “Thank you for your help, Dr. Shrissk. Why am I not feeling as bad as I thought I should be? I know the device hit me in the chest. The pain was memorable, but I’m not as bad as Ashlyn.”
“When we examined you in the hospital, you had no evidence of deep penetration. The punishment device delivers its package only if it hits you directly. I accessed the holovid, which showed a glancing impact. The pain led to your loss of consciousness, but you are remarkably unscathed. I can’t believe how lucky you are.” She paused and looked at her cube.
“The Councilor struck downward, hitting your pectoral muscle vertically rather than perpendicularly.”
“Why is that significant?”
“It is supposed to work by penetrating deep into the body, delivering fifty times the dose you received. The Councilor hit Ashlyn perpendicularly, and that’s why she was much worse off.”
“What happened next?”
‘You shrieked with the pain and lost consciousness. You fell face first onto the Councilor and then slid off her onto the floor.’
“How is the Councilor?”
‘Councilor Parnok gave herself a prolonged dose. She fell on the wand with her hand firmly clenching the trigger. Cpl. Dhomni Yolpho released her approximately twenty seconds later. If it were set on high, she would’ve killed herself. Even so, she gave herself a massive dose. She had convulsions that persisted for hours despite treatment and remained unconscious. She will require a protracted recovery period and may remain disabled. It couldn’t have happened to a more delightful person! Oops, doctors aren’t supposed to say that sort of thing.’ Silicaa giggled an odd hissing sound.
“How did I get out of that circus?”
Imra and Atra laughed.
“When we received your message, I got a lawyer for you. No one was prepared to risk the anger of the Councilor to use the military to rescue you. The lawyer spoke to the Captain. She wouldn’t do anything until the lawyer arrived and provided a letter of authority from the Council. Finally, she ordered the ship marines to rescue you. We told the Lieutenant how helpful the guards were. That’s why they didn’t go in shooting,” said Atra.
“What are the political ramifications?” David asked.
“We will be inundated with Councilors. Everyone is cleaning frantically, and the senior crew is in an uproar.”
“What will the Councilors do?” Ashlyn asked.
