Chapter 45

Coming of Age Sex Story: Chapter 45 - This is the second book in the Wrinkle in Time Trilogy. It is a stand-alone book with an all-new cast that embraces getting a second chance, a do-over. Fortunately, this time, Xander had a cheat: life experience. I’d become the old man who no longer gave a fuck about others’ opinions. The problem was that by the time I learned this, I died … or so I thought. I found myself thrown back in time to do it all over again. Could I get it right this time?

After Xander got his revenge on Steve and John, it was time for him to evaluate where he was and where he wanted to go with his life.

Steve and Aisha hit a rocky patch, but they were back together by the time West Fork won the state championship. On the other hand, John and Carol never had a chance. Carol had left her comfort zone that night when she slept with Xander and Mike. That experience awakened something inside her, and she soon began dating a college sophomore she met in Fayetteville.

Barb wasn’t shy about letting all the girls know the two boys would accept oral but wouldn’t go down on a girl. If Steve hadn’t been dating Aisha, he would’ve experienced being frozen out by the women at West Fork as John did.

To their credit, John and Steve found a moment to apologize to Xander for what they’d done with Brandi. The truth came out that Donnie had been the one to push for it, which didn’t surprise Xander.

The Julie drama played out much the way it had the first time through. But this time, it wasn’t Xander who let the cat out of the bag that Julie and Brad were looking to get back together. Barb caught them having dinner in Fayetteville and posted a video on social media of the two cheaters kissing. It reminded Xander never to get on Barb’s bad side.

This time, Angelica dumped Brad. Since Xander hadn’t said anything, Julie couldn’t make him look like the bad guy, so it was Xander who did the dumping, which pleased Izzy. His sister had been biting her tongue since he’d started dating Julie, but once they broke up, she felt free to dump on him.

“There’s something else you need to do, big brother,” Izzy said.

Xander flinched because he was sure this wouldn’t be good.

“Okay, what’s that?”

“Lose Pippa. As a matter of fact, stop dating girls at West Fork and focus on you.”

Frankly, that comment had him contemplating his options.

His sister was right; Xander had accomplished almost everything he wanted in high school. If he were playing the game ‘Girls I wished I’d banged,’ his list was virtually complete, the only two remaining being Izzy’s friends Susan and Jennie. Since they were too young, it might be time to move on.

Xander had also moved from wallflower to the Rizzmaster of his class and gone from a supporting role on his football team to the star. He’d put himself on a path toward not worrying about living paycheck to paycheck. Granted, Xander still didn’t know what he wanted to be when he grew up, but what sixteen-year-old did?

The only thing left on his to-do list was to make sure his mom and sister had lives worth living. They both seemed to be on a better path than in his first go-around. So Izzy was right: Xander needed to focus on himself.

He went out to the garage to lift and pound the heavy bag. After a good workout, he felt better and was able to focus when trying to solve a problem. He was just finishing up when Pippa showed up.

“Hey,” she said with a shy smile.

Izzy would have to get over herself. He wasn’t giving up his daily blowjobs; no rational teen boy would. Xander reasoned that if Pippa took the edge off his horniness, then he wouldn’t do something stupid like find a new girlfriend. Or better yet, not to let Barb talk him into random foursomes.

After their state championship win, the accolades poured in. Coach Hammer was named Coach of the Year for the state of Arkansas. Xander was on the All-State team and in the running for Gatorade Player of the Year. He didn’t win the award, but he was the leading candidate for the next year because he was the only junior considered.

Coach Hammer leveraged his success and took the head coaching job at Fayetteville High. They’d also won state in the big-boy 7-A classification, and their coach had left to join the staff at Arkansas State. They had over twenty-five hundred students, five times the number who attended West Fork.

Xander assumed Coach Hammer saw what he did: next year’s West Fork team wasn’t going to be very good.

At dinner that night, Xander floated an idea.

“What would you think of us moving to Fayetteville so I could play football?”

“No way,” Izzy said, making her feelings known.

“I’m glad you brought this up because I’ve been meaning to talk to you both,” his mom said. “Jack and I have been talking about getting married. We’ve been trying to figure out living arrangements, if we did, and he lives in Fayetteville.”

Izzy wanted to be mad, but she recognized this was a done deal, and her throwing a fit wouldn’t stop it. Xander wished he’d kept his mouth shut because his mom told them she and Jack had planned to break the news over Christmas break.

In the end, Izzy was easily convinced because Jack lived in a mansion where she’d get her own little apartment, for lack of a better description. Jack had originally planned for his mom to move in with him and set it up accordingly. But she had decided she wanted to live somewhere warmer and moved to Las Vegas.

Xander wanted to visit her because she played poker five days a week.

For his part, Xander would move into the basement, where Jack had his man cave. It was decked out with a bar, a big-screen TV, a pool table, and room for three poker tables. The room opened onto a patio with a fire pit, an outdoor kitchen, and a pool. Next to Xander’s bedroom was a gym with everything he ever wanted to work out on.

The house also featured a six-car garage full of toys ranging from an Arkansas-red Hummer to a silver Shelby GT-500 convertible. Of course, Jack had the requisite pickup truck for everyday use.

“Do you think he’ll let me drive the Mustang to school?” Xander asked Izzy.

“If you were him, would you?”

“Probably not,” Xander finally admitted.

“Did you have any idea of how loaded Jack is?” Izzy asked.

“No, I had some idea he had money, but not like this. It looks like Mom found herself a catch.”

“I can’t believe he’s interested in her. After all, he was voted one of the top bachelors in Fayetteville. I bet he could find himself a twenty-something trophy wife.”

Xander’s mind went to the gutter when he thought about how their mom snagged Jack. But then again, she worked for a living. Perhaps Jack was looking for someone who wasn’t all about his money.

Once Izzy and Xander knew, their mom and Jack quickly planned a Hawaiian sunset wedding on the beach over Christmas break. Izzy and Xander got shipped off to Grandma Jackson’s place for a week while their mom and new stepdad stayed in Hawaii for their honeymoon.

Xander got to play some poker when his new grandmother hosted a home game. It reminded him of the games he played before he died, full of old farts who were all very good. They cleaned up, playing the tourists—amateur players who wanted to experience casino play—during the day, and then got together to compare notes at night.

Xander played like a crazy, aggressive young gun, which had the old folks salivating, thinking he’d be an easy mark. They ended up with mouths as dry as their wallets when he took over five grand from his grandma’s friends the first night.

All it really took was listening to them tell their stories, which gave him a good idea of how they played. He morphed his style to take advantage of their tight-aggressive approach. His crazy, aggressive play caused them to fold hands they shouldn’t have. That won him enough small pots to make up for the ones he got caught in when they called with better hands. This part of the game was all about staying even.

But he won huge pots when he had the nuts, and one or two of them had made hands.
