Getting It Right

Chapter 25
Coming of Age Sex Story: Chapter 25 - This is the second book in the Wrinkle in Time Trilogy. It is a stand-alone book with an all-new cast that embraces getting a second chance, a do-over. Fortunately, this time, Xander had a cheat: life experience. I’d become the old man who no longer gave a fuck about others’ opinions. The problem was that by the time I learned this, I died … or so I thought. I found myself thrown back in time to do it all over again. Could I get it right this time?

Xander left Chantel with KJ and Tommy. The two boys were eager to please, so Chantel was busy putting them to work to make her happy.
Between Chantel and the football game, Xander’s violent inclinations had been satisfied. He was grateful Chantel had gotten him out of his funk over Kelly and told her so before leaving her to have fun with the guys.
Xander was worn out after the game, dance, and after-party, so he searched for Julie, who’d agreed to be his ride home. Her date, Brad, had gone straight from the locker room to the dance. For most of the football players, it was the same: their dates drove themselves to save time.
He found Julie talking to some of the junior girls. When he walked up, the others left Julie and him alone to find their dates.
“You look like you’ve had some stress relief,” Julie teased.
“What can I say? I needed it,” Xander said. “By the way, I traumatized Pippa again.”
“What happened this time?”
“She saw me wearing only my boxers. But this time, I didn’t touch her.”
“She still talks about when you touched her boobies. I wish you’d more than touched them so she would understand that kind of stuff isn’t scary. Pippa’s still at the stage where boys are icky and fascinating, which is how we all feel at some point. I worry about what’ll happen when she meets someone like you who will turn her to the dark side,” Julie said.
Xander chuckled as he shook his head.
“Somehow, that’s just wrong, even though I would love to help her. I think her head would be buried under her pillow, and she wouldn’t leave her bedroom for a month if anything of consequence happened. I think it’s cute that Pippa’s a good girl.”
“Honestly, I think you like both my sisters better than you do me,” Julie said with a fake pout.
“Dump your boyfriend, and I’ll be your rebound guy.”
“You’re not willing to help me cheat on him?” Julie asked.
“I’ve been on the other end of that stick, and I sort of like Brad. If you need names of guys who don’t care if you’re single or not, I can give you a list,” Xander said.
He suddenly found himself in a headlock.
“Don’t be putting ideas into my girlfriend’s head,” Brad said as he let Xander go. “Where’s your date?”
“Last I saw her, she was entertaining Tommy and KJ.”
“She likes breaking in virgins. On Monday, they’ll thank you that she was their first,” Brad said.
“Tommy has never done it before?” Julie asked.
“Nope,” Brad said.
“I’m almost certain KJ’s a virgin as well ... or was,” Xander said.
“Good point,” Brad said and gave him a fist bump.
“Guys are pigs,” Julie said.
“Like you haven’t spilled the tea on your girlfriends’ extracurriculars,” Brad shot back.
“The difference is there isn’t a guy who’s single and willing to devirginate every girl who gets the urge to become a woman. Not like Chantel does for the guys,” Julie said.
“She does provide a much-needed service,” Brad said.
The faraway look got him a smack on the back of the head from his girlfriend. Then his eyes widened as he turned to Xander, but before Brad could say anything, Xander held up his hands.
“Slow your roll. I think part of the service, where a guy’s concerned, requires him to have a car. I have to beg friends to give me rides home.”
“If I were a virgin, I’d come pick you up,” Julie said.
“Problem solved,” Brad said.
“From what I’ve heard, there’s a bigger problem,” Julie said, pointing at Xander’s crotch.
“Sorry to hear that. I always assumed you were on the bigger side,” Brad said.
“This is where guys differ from girls: we don’t check each other out,” Xander said.
Julie laughed at that bald-faced lie. Guys didn’t talk about what they saw, but seeing what each other looked like in the shower was a given since it was a big, open room.
“Back to my point,” Julie said. “Pippa’s convinced Xander would split her in half. My guess is a lot of virgins would rather do it with someone like ... I don’t know ... Brad, possibly.”
Julie should be a comedian. Her delivery was spot on as she held her fingers about an inch apart, which was followed by Brad’s shocked look that his girlfriend would turn on him.
“What the—” Brad sputtered.
Julie and Xander burst into laughter. Chantel had shared that Brad was the only guy she’d been with who was close to Xander, size-wise. If anyone would know about their dick size, it would be her.
“I’m getting sleepy, and I have to paint houses tomorrow,” Xander said to Julie in a pleading voice.
“Let me give Brad a proper goodbye. Go track down Pippa and meet me by the car.”
“I get it. You said if Brad was good and left Chantel alone, you’d show him he didn’t need her. So, we’re talking, what ... five minutes, tops?” Xander asked.
Brad playfully lunged at Xander, who was ready for that and skipped out of reach so he could jog out of the room. As he glanced back, the couple kissed.
Xander quickly scanned the walls and found Pippa holding one up, looking bored and staring at her phone. She didn’t notice him until he leaned against the wall beside her.
“Quit sneaking up on me,” Pippa said, her heart racing as she recovered from nearly jumping out of her skin.
“I was sent to find you. We’ve been instructed to meet Julie at the car.”
“Good, because I’m ready to leave. Too many people are doing stuff they shouldn’t,” Pippa said.
He decided not to tell her that her sister was currently one of those people. Well, maybe not anything too wrong, but he was sure Pippa would disapprove.
“Did you have fun at the dance?” Xander asked, changing the subject.
Her face brightened as she said, “KJ wanted to dance and is good at it. A lot of people came to our table and were really nice. It was the best dance I’ve been to.”
“I’m glad you had fun. And I’m sorry I stole your date. It looked like you guys were getting along,” Xander said.
“Actually, your timing couldn’t have been better. KJ and Tommy wanted to do stuff I wasn’t really interested in doing. Besides, KJ is probably not the guy for me.”
Xander wasn’t willing to delve into the last part. There wasn’t time to figure out what kind of guy Pippa would go for.
“If you ever feel uncomfortable, for any reason, tell the guy, ‘No.’ If he persists, tell him I think of you as my little sister, and I’ll kick his ass,” Xander said.
“Everyone’s talking about how you knocked Steve out. If you’re serious, I’m sure that would slow them down,” Pippa said.
“And if that doesn’t work, tell them that I’ll kick their ass,” Julie said, obviously eavesdropping.
“That would scare me,” Xander admitted.
They had to say goodbye to a few people on their way out.
Xander was a gentleman and opened the back door for Pippa, but she wouldn’t scoot over to let him into the back seat with her. So he sat up front with Julie, who gave him the evil eye for tormenting her sister.
When they got to his house, Xander got out. Pippa also got out to grab shotgun for the hundred yards to her house. Xander wrapped her in his arms and kissed her on the forehead. When she realized he wasn’t making a move on her, Pippa relaxed.
“Remember, I was serious when I said I would protect you. Come find me if you ever need help,” Xander said.
Pippa gave him a little nod, and Xander let her go so she could get into the car. He shut the door for her, which caused Julie to fight back a smile. Pippa turned an attractive shade of red, sat stiffly in the front seat, and stared out the front window.
Xander was in a great mood as he walked into the house.
Xander didn’t have time to check social media over the weekend because he and his mom had four houses to paint. They’d become a great team, and with his grandfather’s help—he had his crew prep everything for them—all they had to do was paint. With a professional sprayer and his mom using a brush to catch anything he missed, they finished the interiors of all four houses in two twelve-hour days.
On Monday, his grandfather’s guys would come in, pull down all the tape and such, and mark any spots that needed touching up. The following weekend, Xander and his mom would fix anything they missed, do the garages, and start on the exteriors. By the third weekend, they’d be done.
On Monday morning, Xander debated whether to sleep in or go lift. In the end, he got his butt out of bed.
When he arrived at the weight room, he found Coach Hammer eagerly awaiting him with the University of Arkansas’ lead recruiter.
“Xander?” Xander nodded. “Chuck Ramey. I’m one of the coaches at the University of Arkansas. Sorry to bother you, but I figured it would be okay to introduce myself if I ran into you.”
“Nice to meet you,” Xander said.
“Coach Hammer was going to give me some game film. I’ll let you get back to it,” Coach Ramey said and then left with Coach Hammer in tow.
“What just happened?” Xander asked.
“Coaches sometimes ‘run into’ recruits,” Brad explained. “If it’s accidental, it doesn’t count as a face-to-face visit. That was the University of Arkansas letting you know they’re interested in you playing for them.”
“That’s good, right?” Xander asked.
“That’s very good,” Tommy said.
“Now, enough about Xander...” Brad began and turned the conversation toward more pressing matters: Tommy losing his virginity.
It was good to see his teammates had their priorities in the right place. And making Tommy uncomfortable was much more fun than Xander’s recruiting news for a Monday morning conversation.
The gossip at lunch was about Steve and Kelly breaking up. He was pissed she’d not talked to Xander and gotten him punched. The lunch table voted—with Xander abstaining—and Steve was banned for a week, but could come back after that. Kelly didn’t bother making an appeal, so she and Pam found a table to themselves.
On Wednesday, Xander joined them.
“This is the last time I’m going to help you ladies. The Princesses are sulking, and they want you back,” Xander said.
They heard laughter from the Princesses’ table, and they didn’t appear upset, but Xander looked determined and wouldn’t back down.
“Tell them we’ll join them when Steve comes back,” Kelly said.
Xander tilted his head toward the table, and the girls glanced over to see Steve there, laughing with the rest.
“Fine, we’ll join them tomorrow,” Kelly said.
