Chapter 17

Coming of Age Sex Story: Chapter 17 - This is the second book in the Wrinkle in Time Trilogy. It is a stand-alone book with an all-new cast that embraces getting a second chance, a do-over. Fortunately, this time, Xander had a cheat: life experience. I’d become the old man who no longer gave a fuck about others’ opinions. The problem was that by the time I learned this, I died … or so I thought. I found myself thrown back in time to do it all over again. Could I get it right this time?

By Wednesday, Xander’s ankle felt much better, so he went in early to lift. As he walked in, he saw Tommy and Brad huddled over Brad’s phone, watching a video.

“You need to see this,” Tommy said excitedly.

Xander peered over Brad’s shoulder and froze. The video showed Connie riding his cock.

Later, Connie told him she only sent it to Carl to get him to quit spending time with Chantel. The dumbass had sent it to one of his friends to get his take on it, and said friend shared it with someone who shared it with the world.

Xander would bet his imaginary beach house that Connie wasn’t too happy with Carl. If he weren’t before this, the boy could very well be single now.

“Nobody knows who the guy is. We’re trying to puzzle it out,” Brad said.

“Carl has to be shitting himself because that guy looks to be really stretching her out. I’m surprised Connie’s even walking,” Tommy said.

This just proved that guys were idiots. Xander had heard that having a baby could make a pussy looser, but he bet if you shit out a bowling ball, it would do the same to your butthole.

“Any clues about who the guy is?” Xander asked.

“Not yet, but we’re on it,” Brad said.

Xander remembered his three-hour discussion with his mother after Connie left for home Sunday night. He thought he’d better give her a heads-up that this might really bite him in the ass, like she predicted. Xander was looking forward to that discussion—not!

At lunch, after a long conversation about Connie and the mystery man, the topic of Pam came up. Xander had noticed that Pam and Kelly had eaten lunch alone the previous day, and the rumor mill said Pam and Lucas were on the rocks.

Xander wondered if Pam was with child. He remembered that had been the speculation the previous time through.

When he heard about the breakup, he walked over to their table. The two girls looked at him warily.

“If you want, you can come eat with us,” Xander said.

Pam looked down at the table, but Kelly gave him a shy grin.

“It wouldn’t be weird for you?” she asked.

“Why would it? We’re still friends, right?” Xander asked.

“Another time, perhaps,” Pam said.

“That’s fine. Just know that you’d be welcome if you returned.”

Pam grabbed his sleeve.

“We need to talk.”

“Okay...”

She stood, led him to the hall, and found a quiet corner.

“That was you in the video,” Pam said.

It wasn’t a question; Pam knew. He bit his bottom lip before saying, “It was.”

“Don’t worry, Kelly and I won’t say anything. I know Carl’s pissed and has vowed to kill whoever it is.”

“Hasn’t he done enough damage by sharing the video?” Xander asked.

Pam thought about it for a moment and nodded.

“How are you doing? Is there anything I can help with?” Xander asked.

Tears threatened to spill from her eyes as she gave him a tight smile.

“All I’m going to say is if you think I’m sus, I deserve it. I have to face what happened on my own.”

“I get that, but I’m your guy if you need a sympathetic shoulder. Just because we’re not going out anymore doesn’t mean I can’t be your friend,” Xander said.

“I don’t suppose...?” Pam started.

Xander chuckled and held up his hand to slow her roll.

“Let’s hit the pause button on being more than friends for now. We both need to do some growing up.”

With that said, they returned to the lunchroom. Pam’s parting shot was, “Thanks. I’ll never forget this.”

Kelly nodded her agreement.

While his mom gave him grief about the video, she did have some good news: the land deal had finally closed.

It had been delayed because the land developer wanted to put in a gas station, requiring the involvement of the state and the feds to do various impact studies. While his grandfather didn’t have to pony up any money to get the needed tests and documentation, it did mean the land was tied up until it was done.

All this meant it was time for Xander to figure out his next move to build his war chest.

After school, Xander was picking up at his grandfather’s job sites when Connie found him.

“I owe you a huge apology. I never imagined Carl would be so vindictive as to share that video.”

“He’s a teenage boy with anger issues. Did you really think he wouldn’t do something stupid?” Xander asked.

“When you put it that way, I was the stupid one.”

Xander gave her a little shrug and said, “I bet it felt good, though.”

“Even so,” Connie said.

“So now you’re a porn star. What’s your plan for your next project?” Xander teased.

“Bite me,” Connie said and shoved his shoulder.

Xander took it down a few notches.

“Do you still want him back?”

“I honestly don’t know. We’ve dated since freshman year, but we’re going to different places after graduation. Carl has a job lined up with his uncle in Texas, while I’ve been accepted to U of A. I think our breakup was inevitable; it just might’ve happened sooner than I wanted,” Connie said.

“U of A?”

“The University of Arkansas, duh.”

“Oh, yeah; sorry, I guess I’m not used to the local jargon yet. Well, be honest with yourself: did Carl’s cheating with Chantel really bother you?” Xander asked.

“I guess I didn’t understand what she had that I didn’t. Why would he want to sleep with her when I was willing?”

“That’s easy: with Chantel, it was all about sex and nothing else. With a girlfriend, it’s more, if that makes sense,” Xander said.

“If it’s more, then why would he not want to do that with me?” Connie asked.

“Let’s be blunt: Chantel has three holes open for business. Do you?”

Connie stopped and thought for a moment; when she realized what Xander was talking about, she gave him a hooded look.

“Is that really a big deal?” Connie asked.

“No, not really, but Carl would never ask that of his girlfriend. In his mind, Chantel doesn’t have the same boundaries you do, so he can ask for stuff he would never ask of you. And before you question me, I have no idea what Carl’s secret kinks are.”

“Now you have me curious. What are your secret kinks?”

“I’m into older chicks who want to use my dick in their videos.”

She shoved his shoulder again and called him a pig.

“Hey, you walked right into that one. Anyway, figure out your drama with Carl; if you decide to dump him, start a new trend and ask a freshman out,” Xander said.

“I think it would be best for me to wait until college to start dating again.”

“Can I still come to you for advice?” Xander asked.

“If you’re a good boy.”

With that last retort, she left him so he could return to work.

The conference schedule started for West Fork, and they dropped the first two conference games by an average of 40 points. Carl looked lost on the field. Because of that, he was replaced at quarterback for the third conference game against Cedarville.

It was a complete turnaround as the West Fork Tigers won 38–0.

The freshman team remained unbeaten as Mike became a magician in the triple-option offense. Defenses stood flat-footed as they tried to guess who had the ball. Xander had been averaging nearly 150 yards and three touchdowns a game.

After his performance in the Cedarville game, Coach Hammer called Xander into his office.

“Coach Clayton told me you were unwilling to play JV ball. Looking at how they’ve performed, I see that was a good choice. I’m tempted to ask you to play on the varsity. We have a real shot of making it to state this year, and I think the experience would be good for you.

“I wouldn’t want to play you as a starter, but insert you into games as a change of pace. I’m afraid your physical running style might get you hurt if I played you every down. Sometimes we need a back who can get tough yardage, and I think you would make a difference as we hit the heart of our conference schedule,” Coach Hammer said.

“What do you mean by ‘tough yardage’?” Xander asked.

“Short yardage and red zone situations where the defense will sell out on the run.”

“If I did, would I get a letterman’s pin?” Xander asked.

Each varsity sport that a student-athlete participated in meaningfully earned them a pin to put on their letterman’s jacket. Few freshmen ever received one. Xander hadn’t gotten his first pin until his junior year the first time through.

“I promise that even if you never see the field, I’ll give you a varsity letter if you agree to join us,” Coach Hammer said.

“Then I’m your man.”

Come Monday practice, Xander hadn’t told anybody he was now on varsity. The first clue that something was up was when he found all-new equipment in his locker.

“What the hell, Thornwood? How come you get the good stuff?” Donnie asked.

“Maybe it’s because he’s leading the team in yardage and sacks,” Kevin said to shut Donnie down.

“Coach Hammer asked me to move up to varsity,” Xander said, coming clean.

The reactions varied from ‘That makes sense’ to ‘Why him?’ to ‘Fuck, we just lost our best player.’

When he joined the varsity, their reaction was lukewarm at best. His fellow running backs were fighting for playing time since none of them really stood out. They realized they might be riding the bench with the freshman golden boy thrown into the mix.

Bobby Shelby, the sophomore quarterback who’d replaced Carl, was the one person glad to see him.

After warm-ups, Bobby took him aside.

“Look, some guys will resent you because they see you have talent. You can’t expect the defense to touch you and call you down; they’ll want to knock you on your ass—they did that to me when I took Carl’s place. But they’ll lighten up when they see what you can do.”

“Does that mean I get to knock them down, too?” Xander asked.

Bobby slapped his helmet.

“I’d like to see that. I’ll try not to get you killed today,” Bobby said as they were called to run some drills.

The first day of varsity practice was a bit rough. These boys were two to three years older, which made them bigger, stronger, and faster. It was much more violent when they tackled Xander, but his workouts paid off. He was able to hold his own and dish out some damage in return. Coach Hammer loved it.

Throughout the week, Xander worked out more and more with the number-one offense. Coach Hammer didn’t name him a starter for the game against Hackett, but Bobby told Xander he’d get plenty of chances to prove himself.

His young inner self was in meltdown mode in the locker room before the game. Finally, the old man stepped up and told Xander to get over himself, pointing out that it was just another football game. He took a few deep breaths before they took the field.

Xander’s number was called early in the first quarter. They’d driven the opening kickoff to Hackett’s 38-yard line, and it was third and two. He was lined up as the right halfback with a fullback and a left halfback in the backfield.

The play was called to the left. On the snap, Bobby turned and put the ball into the fullback’s stomach as he ran into the center-guard hole. A Hackett linebacker filled the running lane, so Bobby pulled it back and ran down the line.
