Chapter 11
Action/Adventure Sex Story: Chapter 11 - After my parents’ funeral I am greeted by an Alien and offered the craziest, unbelievable opportunities you could ever imagine. Well maybe you could?
Caution: This Action/Adventure Sex Story contains strong sexual content, including Ma/Fa Science Fiction Aliens Far Past
We had one of the mildest winters in a long time, or so all the elders kept saying. Only five months of snow and never more than two feet was ever accumulated. Cold was something different, you could not be out after dark due to the drop in temperature.
Where it was freezing cold during the day with the temperature varying from highs in the mid forties that dropped below neg 10 degrees Celsius after the sun went down. If it was snowing it got down into the negatives with the coldest temperature negative 14 degrees Celsius.
This was shown on the screen we used to look outside the main entrance as a warning to us what the temperature was like. Thank you spirits.
I developed a simple device every team could take with them to determine if it were time to get out of the cold. I used a testicle sac from a small pig filled halfway with water and tied off so it would not leak. If the water started to freeze it was too cold to be out any longer. Not the most effective method but if it was that cold out we had no business being out in that cold a temperature.
Most of the time before the sac started to freeze everyone got too cold and returned to the cave. Only once was a hunting party gutting their kills late in the afternoon, actually just a few hours before sunset. A storm suddenly blew in, clouds covered the sun, and the wind brought the temperature down below freezing very quick. They were almost finished with the last two animals when the sac started to slush up as it started to freeze.
They decided to just bring the last two animals whole back to the cave which was the smart thing to do. The temperature was negative 15 degrees and dropping when they arrived back at the cave.
Another thing that surprised me was nobody got sick, there were no flu or common cold type illnesses. I was wondering about that and hoped it was the normal thing or that the aliens had something to do with it.
Writing and math skills were worked on during the winter as everyone wanted to be able to read and write as well as count and do mathematic problems. I also introduced checkers, chess, and dominoes.
One morning the sun was shining extra bright and the snow was melting faster than it had been.
All the elders declared winter was over and a celebration was called for the start of the warm season.
We had use about 90% of our stored food, or rather about 85% of our meat and 80-85% of our gathered items. The grass in the barn area was looking very thin as well so we would need to gather hay, barley, oats, and alfalfa for the animals before next winter to ensure they had enough food, especially with the growing herd size.
We would have to gather at least half as much more this time for ourselves to ensure we had enough food just in case the next winter was harsher or longer.
The celebration started with a huge breakfast/brunch meal that combined breakfast and lunch in a buffet style setting.
The council got together to discuss what our order of business should be.
I suggested four or five scouting parties to search for both gathering locations and game/herd locations. Everyone agreed saying it would make more sense to scout all of this out instead of wasting a large groups time looking.
Equipment was checked and rechecked for the next day’s scouting teams. We decided on five teams of eight people each would take a mule with emergency supplies just in case winter decided to have one last snowstorm.
The idea was to move fast and cover as much area as possible and return before sunset since it would still be extremely cold at night. If needed a second day of scouting could be done.
We knew the area where gathering was plentiful and where game and herds were usually found. It would just be a matter of confirming that everything was where we expected it to be. Then we could plan for groups to move to the location and return without wasting a lot of time.
The pregnant women would be staying back with the homemakers even though their delivery time was about 10 weeks away give or take. They were barely showing but very healthy, I was hoping it would be easy deliveries. I had discovered by talking with the elder members that only 1 of 3 babies survived. I wanted to make it 100 percent survival and hoped the spirits would help to achieve that goal.
The Roc crash dove on our group without anyone knowing. Hell we were not looking up we were looking all around us on the ground were the dangerous predators were.
The shadow was the first indication of trouble. Sihemol and the mule she was riding never had a chance. She was our only unmated female or rather used to be.
The Roc had snatched the mule and her in its claws and I could see a whole talon pushed through Sihemol’s torso. I don’t believe she suffered at least I hope she didn’t. there was nothing anyone could do except watch the damn Roc fly away.
I said that my next task was to hunt down the Roc’s nest and kill it. Everyone looked at me like I was crazy at first, then realizing everything that I had done, smiled, and nodded their understanding.
Nobody had ever seen a Roc before and were seriously afraid that we might be in it’s hunting area now. Finally Reamla and Lahoomel asked me what I needed to hunt and kill this Roc.
I said that first we needed to train everyone how to watch out for the Roc and what to do if it attacked again. I stressed that we could not let this danger prevent us from doing what we needed to do. I said that two maybe three people would go with me, we would all bringing a mule to carry extra gear.
Every group now would have four people dedicated to watching the sky to the front, back, right, and left side. My hope was that if the Roc attacked again it would be seen soon enough for everyone to dismount and get on the ground. Hopefully, everyone firing arrows and if one of us with guns were with the group the Roc could be killed or at least chased off.
It was decided that two gathering groups would go out and the hunters would split between them as added security against the Roc. Two wagons and a carriage went with each group along with five hunters and five protectors.
When Tila and Nala found a rifle with their gear they silently thanked the ‘Spirits’ then each went with a group. I stayed back to pray to the spirits.
The two groups left after breakfast everyone was feeling cautious but confidant they would be safe.
I had that urge the aliens gave me which led me to discover a new doorway along the left wall just before getting to the shower in my bedroom. It led to a small office that had a desk and chair with a huge monitor on the far wall that was basically a map of our area.
I was guessing about 100 kilometers by 300 kilometers. I could zoom in to about 1 square meter using the desk as a mousepad. This would also work as a video screen for talking with Grace and sometimes with Grey as well, since both were on the screen that had changed from the map once I sat down in the chair.
Before I could ask or say anything Grey said that every effort to locate the Roc was currently the priority. He also added that a much more intensive study of ALL lifeforms on the planet was also beginning hopefully preventing something like what had happened occurring again.
I sadly said that life and death happen, everyone understands this fact, and it doesn’t matter how you feel about it you can’t change it. We could only be more careful, cautious, and better prepared.
Grace spoke saying that was why Tila and Nala had been given rifles. This was allowed mostly due to the way the three of us had been restrained in the use of the firearms. The fact that we were not abusing and relying on them heavily made the decision to provide the rifles easy.
The higher up officials agreed that we had not been misusing the firearms and the Roc’s sudden appearance unknown to the aliens made the decision obvious.
Another concession would be explosive tipped arrows and bolts. They would be very limited and would have the safety system of becoming active when notched and a sensor in the shaft would arm the tip only after it accelerated to the speed of release from a bow or crossbow. If unnotched it would return to safe mode.
The tip would be square shaped similar to the broadhead hunting tip but slightly thicker as well. There would be twenty to start allowing for ten guards to have two. I asked about shooting into the air and the arrow missing the Roc and falling back to the shooter. Grey kind of laughed and said that had been considered and a safety of going past 50 meter or more than 150 feet and the tip would deactivate and return to safe mode.
Grace said that they would be useful against cave bears but reminded me to ensure only one person fire at a time as multiple shots could be very dangerous. I quickly nodded my understanding. I would stress to anyone shooting an explosive arrow or bolt to make sure of the area behind their target in case they missed.
Grace then mentioned that we have been so successful the higher up officials were wanting to see if more improvements could be made.
When I asked what she meant by more improvements she said we would discuss this further once the Roc issue was dealt with as this was a very serious problem. She pointed out that I could have been the target just as easily as Sihemol had been.
That was the first time I realized that it was true I could have been killed instead of her. The talon had pierced through her torso even with the armor she had on. I asked about that and Grey said that just as the armor would not protect against crushing there was a limit to amount of penetrating force the armor could protect against.
Grace added that she felt the armor separated between the top and bottom due to the amount of force and that is how the talon penetrated her torso. I had not thought about that possibility. Grey added that was most likely the best explanation but until the armor could be recovered if it ever were recovered we would never know for sure what happened.
