The End of the Crypt Exploration

July 12 continued

The group looks into the room and sees a figure lying on the ground on the other side. The figure is most likely female, and could be the sister of the man upstairs. As they step inside, they hear laughter and a voice saying: “So Kassen’s heroes come again to fight against me, you will make good assistants for my undead army.”

As they turn towards the voice they see what appears to be an undead warrior, possibly a lich or a revenant. It has a skeletal face with glowing blue eyes, wearing dark robes and ornate armor with gold and silver detailing. A tall, regal crown sits atop its head, adding to its menacing and ancient presence.

The creature wields a large, enchanted sword, glowing with a mystical aura, likely imbued with necrotic or arcane power. Its lower body fades into a ghostly mist, suggesting it might be a spectral entity or have some incorporeal qualities.

The enemy enchants his sword with blue flames while four skeletons attack the group, one going after Kieron and another coming at Agnarr. The large enemy also attacks Agnarr and strikes at him very quickly. Agnarr manages to block with his shield. Kieron knocks a sword away from one skeleton, and the next one’s sword breaks from the force of his blow. Jaysek removes the flames from the enemy’s sword, which angers him who runs to Jaysek, striking Ertak on the way. Ertak blocks the blow with his shield. The boss knocks Jaysek down with one strike, at which point Ertak removes the enemy’s very fast movement ability.

Thus he gets angry at Ertak and strikes him unconcious. After this, Neiia shoots at the skeletal warrior with a fireball, but it only heats up the armor. The enemy is after Kieron and Neiia is nearby, while Agnarr tries to attack the boss from behind, aiming for the head. The two smaller skeletons nearby try to strike Kieron. Of the other two skeletons, one is retrieving its weapon that Kieron threw away at the beginning, and the other whose weapon broke has disappeared from sight.

The boss becomes frustrated at not being able to do anything to Kieron, so he commands Kieron to the ground and then tries to strike her, but Kieron blocks and jumps up. Agnarr hits the boss in the head with an axe, and the boss gets angry and turns to cast a spell at him. Neiia decides to help Agnarr and causes the boss to fail his spell and drop his sword to the ground, but he accidentally kicks it forward so that it flies very close to Jaysek and from there bounces straight into the pit.

The boss doesn’t like Neiia and orders her to come to him. Neiia tries to run to the spot, but there are too many skeletons in the way. Kieron and Agnarr strike the boss, and the boss tries to heal himself by touching Agnarr, but Agnarr resists. The boss says that now something needs to be done, so he starts running after his sword, ending up at the edge of the pit. Agnarr tries to run after him but crashes into a wall and then strains his muscles. Kieron turns around and starts breaking the skeletons’ weapons. He manages to break the first sword, but the next skeleton manages to pull its hand axe away, though on the next strike the hand axe breaks.

Agnarr decides to push the boss down into the pit and strikes the boss in the back with his shield. From the force of the blow, the boss shatters into pieces, and the boss’s armor falls into the pit. After this, Kieron and Neiia have an easy job destroying the remaining skeletons with fire bolts.

Next, the group starts to see what has happened to Ertak and Jaysek. Jaysek is dying, and Neiia gives him a potion that stops bleeding, after which Kieron gives him a healing potion. Neiia gives a similar potion to Ertak, and then Neiia takes Ertak and Agnarr to the rest room. Kieron stays to watch over Jaysek and the unconscious woman here. Kieron states that this is probably the earlier man’s sister, at least she matches the description. Neiia returns to get Jaysek and then the woman, and afterward fetches the woman and Kieron. They also retrieve the boss’s armor and weapon from the pit.
