A new town, a new state and a new venue, just as G’wayne had known and told himself when he spent his last night with Leigh. The lights were bright and hot on the stage as G’wayne and the band moved to the music they made, jumping around and stopping at the mics to sing and bring harmony to the club. G’wayne’s long brown hair with blonde highlights flowed in time to the beat, showing the late eighties fashion with a pair of jeans, a button-up shirt and short jacket with sleaves rolled to the elbow. His gold stud earring flashed with the flickering lights as he walked to the riser to jam with the new drummer. Banging his head with a smile, his head turned and his gaze caught the crowd and the site of the cutest young woman that he guessed to be around twenty-two or twenty-three.
Her eyes caught him looking when a large, excited grin crossed her lips and her face lit up like Christmas. He noticed her shyness immediately, yet she danced with no care for who was watching as her full-figured form and shoulder length, dark brown hair framed her face and showed the beauty of her eyes. Though she was not the model type, or what many people would call gorgeous, G’wayne saw a cuteness that he felt in his soul, a beauty of the heart that held a good person inside. His smile must have projected a look of comfort into his eyes that she felt as she stared at him and began to blush. With a wink directed at her, G’wayne returned his attention to the last set of the night and focused everything on the music that made him happy to play.
The music had ended for their first night at the new club as G’wayne strolled to the bar for a last drink from the bartender. As he approached, the man behind the bar said, “You guys are good.”
G’wayne smiled and nodded in acceptance as he replied, “Thanks, man. I appreciate that.”
With a friendly smile, the bartender turned to him while wiping dry a shot glass, “Name’s Bill. You want a drink before I close down?”
G’wayne slightly nodded once more as he said, “Good to meet you, Bill. Yeah. Could I get a tequila shot for the road?” Without a second glance, Bill replied, “Sure, no problem. They’re getting ready to clear out the bar ... then I can count down and go home.”
G’wayne smiled, understanding his meaning as he sat on a stool and looked around at the crowd that was slowly making their way towards the door. His gaze scanned to the right as the face he had seen earlier stepped into view, smiling and looking slightly nervous as she walked towards him slowly. G’wayne’s smile extended as she stepped to him and with a mild timidness said, “I had to tell you, I loved your show. I’m Nancy.” She extended her hand with a gentle redness blushing her cheeks as she looked into his eyes. Her thick but curvy body had a subtle hunch and her words spoke with the cutest, minute lisp that sounded like something from an adult cartoon. That was all it took to intrigue G’wayne as he responded, “Thank you. I’m G’wayne. Thanks for coming to the show. This is my first time in Baltimore. Actually, this is my first time I’ve ever been this far north. You from here?”
With her expression showing easing the tension of her shyness, she smiled and responded, “Yeah. I go to school here.” A grin crossed G’wayne’s face with a nod of acceptance, replying, “That’s awesome.” The bartender interrupted the conversation, setting a shot down on the bar and saying, “I’ll put it on your tab. Oh ... and miss, we’re closing.” He smiled as he turned to walk away while G’wayne grabbed the shot and downed it, wiping his mouth after, and placing the shot glass on the bar. Nancy looked at him, built her courage and asked, “Do you ... want to come to my place for a drink? My roommate is out for the night. She won’t be back until tomorrow.” Her smile was infectious, staring into G’wayne’s eyes and feeding him signals. Without hesitation, already intrigued by her unusual nature, he grinned and immediately responded, “Yeah. I’d love to have a drink with you at your place. Lead the way, ma’am.” He stood from his stool and motioned his left hand toward the door and gave a slight bow in a gentlemanly fashion. G’wayne reached out his right hand towards Nancy, who grasped his hand in hers and walked him out to her car.
The thick wooden door of Nancy’s apartment eased open slowly, while her foot slipped over the threshold and her right hand pulled G’wayne into the medium-sized living room. Nancy closed the door behind them and pulled off her thick wool sweater, hanging it on a rack next to the door as she said, “This is it. It’s not much but I like it.” She smiled at G’wayne who smiled in return and took a long look around the apartment before replying, “It’s nice. Cozy.” As he eyed the walls, he noticed some pictures and a couple of oil paintings hanging in the perfect location to catch the dim light from the street lamps that shined through the partially-open, third floor window blinds. Nancy smiled with a slight blush before regaining her composure and asking, “I have some beer in the fridge ... you want one?”
G’wayne’s heart melted at the cuteness of lisp, her shy blush, and the composed face she was trying to show, answering, “I’d love a beer. You did bring me here to have a drink with you.” He gave Nancy a little wink and flashed a smile of comfort as she said, “Have a seat.” She walked to the kitchen as G’wayne sat in a recliner and continued to look around the apartment, admiring the art and classiness of the decor. Since the kitchen was open and he could see Nancy open the fridge, he focused in on a painting and asked with curiosity, “Is that oil or acrylic. Looks like oil. Beautiful brushstrokes.” Nancy returned with two beers in her hands as G’wayne continued, “You have great taste in art. I love seascapes, too.” Her smile lit up with excitement as she replied, “Thanks. You like art? Well, I mean, you like paintings?”
G’wayne grinned with a little embarrassment of his own as he replied, “Oh hell yeah. I mean, I don’t know a lot about paintings, but I like what I like. I’ve seen pictures of some Rembrandts, Renoirs, and Monets. Beautiful work. The way they used the brushes of the time was amazing. Getting every little detail right with nothing more than some wood sticks and some horse hair. That’s why they’re the masters.”With her excitement growing, Nancy’s mouth widened to the sweetest little grin, and her eyes glazed as if her pussy was getting wet from the conversation.
They talked for a while, discussing art, music, and their favorite hobbies, as G’wayne finished his beer and sat the empty bottle on a side table. Nancy got up from her position on the loveseat and extended her arms, reaching out to G’wayne while saying, “Let me show you my bedroom. I have a couple of paintings there too.” With a smile and a nod of confirmation, G’wayne grabbed her hands, rose from his seat, and replied, “Oh, cool. I’d love to see them.” Nancy walked him down a short hallway, clicking off the light to the living room area as she passed the switch which left only a nightlight in the kitchen shining. As they reached the bedroom, Nancy flipped the wall switch which illuminated the smartly decorated, almost chic room with paintings on the wall and a queen-sized bed against the back wall.
