Chapter 11: Playing In the Pool

The spell was broken and so Tammy and I quickly slipped on our bikinis. We all looked each other over and even Kate couldn’t help but steal an extra glance at Tammy. Normally my aunt was extremely strict about swim suits so Tammy and Kate usually wore what I would call a two piece swim suit, not even qualifying as a bikini. That was exactly what Kate was wearing but Tammy was treading on new ground today. “How do I look Kelly?” she asked with a trace of a laugh, “After all, you’re the expert when it comes to slutty bikinis.”

“Well, it looks like my little cousin isn’t so little anymore,” I replied. “Actually, you look great and I bet the boys will be falling over when they see you!”

Tammy laughed saying, “No boys. Mom told me I am absolutely forbidden to wear it anywhere but here or to let anyone see me in it. It should be OK today since it’s just family.”

We gathered up our towels then and I just thought about what my dad was going to be thinking when he saw his little fantasy girl prancing about like a little nymph in next to nothing. The three of us went out together to the pool where my dad and Rick were in the pool throwing a Frisbee back and forth. Uncle Jim sat on the edge watching with his legs dangling in the water and the ever-present beer in his hand. My mom and Aunt Shari were laying out on two chaise lounge chairs, trying to work on their tans and trading gossip.

Hearing our footsteps everyone naturally turned to look at us and I noticed that my dad’s eyes were fixed on Tammy. Good thing he was in the pool because I had a feeling something was getting larger under his swimming trunks! I felt a little thrill myself as my Uncle Jim gave me the same look my father was giving Tammy. This was pretty cool, two fathers checking out the other’s daughter - and their own nieces at that! Even Rick, who usually tried to act all nonchalant whenever I was around wasn’t able to hide his interest as I stood at the edge of the pool, checking out the water temperature.

The funniest thing, though, was my mom and aunt. My mom took one look at Tammy in her surprisingly tiny bikini and gave Aunt Shari a feigned look of horror. Fortunately I was able to overhear most of their conversation.

“Wow Shari, I didn’t know you let the girls wear thongs,” she said in a low voice.

Aunt Shari just shook her head with a rueful look, “Well, it’s just Tammy. You know Kate, she wouldn’t be caught dead in something like that. Tammy begged and begged for it and I can’t believe I caved. Besides, look who’s talking! You’ve always let Kelly wear next to nothing half the time, and not just at home. Oh well, I DID tell her though that she could only wear it at home and not in front of anyone but I told her it was ok for her to wear it today since it’s just family and nobody will notice.”

I almost choked as I tried to keep from bursting out laughing. Either Aunt Shari was blind or clueless. Nobody will notice - yea right! My father was practically drilling holes in Tammy with his eye, especially when she leaned over to spread out her towel on a lounge chair.

What DID surprise me, though, was seeing her brother Rick paying an unusual amount of attention to her as well. Usually he avoided his sisters like the plague but today he was looking at Tammy in a way I’d never seen him look at her before. I found myself feeling a bit of mixed emotions about that. On the one hand I liked it when he was ogling me and so I was disappointed he wasn’t focused on me.
