The weeks following Lexie’s procedures were an eerie calm. She spent her days in recovery, the pain from her surgeries a constant reminder of the control Carly held over her life. Despite the physical torment, Lexie was almost grateful for the quiet—no strangers visiting her room, no nightly appointments arranged by Carly. It felt like a reprieve, albeit a brief and fragile one.

Carly played the role of attentive caretaker, bringing Lexie meals and ensuring she had everything she needed to recover. But beneath the surface, Lexie sensed Carly’s motivations were far from altruistic. The degrading texts continued—strangers commenting on her new appearance with explicit and vile propositions. It wasn’t long before Lexie realized Carly had posted photos of her altered body online, showcasing her transformation for the world to see.

Once Lexie could walk again, albeit awkwardly in the high heels she was now forced to wear, Carly’s demeanor shifted. One evening, Carly came downstairs, her laptop in hand and a calculating glint in her eye.

“It’s time we talk about rent,” Carly said, her tone as casual as if she were discussing the weather.

Lexie’s heart sank. “I don’t have any money,” she whispered, her voice barely audible.

Lexie froze as Carly opened her laptop, revealing a sleek, dark webpage. The interface was minimal, but the text and images it displayed sent a chill down Lexie’s spine. It was an auction—a live, international bidding event taking place on the dark web.

“This,” Carly said, gesturing to the screen, “is where your future lies. Brothels from all over the world are bidding for you right now. And let me tell you, they love the new you. Your starting bid was higher than I’ve ever seen.”

“No...” Lexie whispered, her voice cracking.

Carly’s smirk deepened. “Oh, yes. You’ve been such a valuable asset to me, Lexie. But this? This will be the grand finale. Think of it as my retirement plan.”

The screen displayed a series of bids climbing higher and higher, accompanied by cryptic usernames and locations from all over the globe. Lexie’s chest tightened as the reality sank in. She wasn’t a person to Carly anymore—she was a product, a commodity to be sold to the highest bidder.

“I can’t do this,” Lexie said, her voice trembling.

Carly’s eyes narrowed. “You don’t have a choice, sweetheart. Remember, you owe me. I’ve invested so much in you. Now, it’s time for you to repay the favor.”

Lexie felt the walls closing in around her. Carly clicked through the auction, narrating each bid with glee as if it were some kind of sport. Lexie could only watch in horror, her world crumbling even further as the bids climbed higher and higher, each one a nail in the coffin of her autonomy.

As the auction neared its close, Carly turned to Lexie, her expression one of triumph. “You should feel honored, Lexie. You’re about to make someone very, very happy. And me, very, very rich.”
