Chapter 4

The air in the office was thick and oppressive as Laurie sat behind her sleek glass desk, her mind swirling with memories of the night before. The scent of coffee and paperwork mixed, creating a unique and familiar aroma that only added to her nostalgic thoughts. Veronica stopped by to help her prepare for a client meeting but found Laurie lost in a dreamy state.

“Earth to Laurie, what’s on your mind?” Veronica asked, snapping her fingers to grab Laurie’s attention. Laurie smiled lazily and looked over at her friend, her cheeks flushed with excitement. “Sorry, I was just thinking about last night.” Veronica raised her perfectly groomed eyebrows and let out a girlish giggle. “Do tell!” Laurie hesitated for a moment, then decided to spill her guts. “I told Maverick about the erotic novels you gave me and ... well, let’s just say we had quite an evening.”

Veronica’s grin widened. “I knew you’d love them! So, was he dominant like the characters in the books?” Laurie nodded slowly, a secret smile playing on her lips. “Kind of. We started watching the movie, and after a few scenes, we couldn’t keep our hands off each other. He may not have been a full “Dom,” but he certainly showed his assertive side towards the end. I’m still feeling a bit sore from it all,” she added with a sly wink. “Sore? What is that man packing down there?” asked Veronica teasingly. “Not much, just this.” And with that, Laurie handed Veronica her phone. In front of Veronica was a playful picture Maverick had sent earlier - him nude with his manhood on full display. “Jesus, Laurie! This is your fiancé!” exclaimed Veronica, trying to contain her laughter. Laurie couldn’t help but smirk at Veronica’s reaction. “Sorry, was that too much to share? I’m just so turned on by the whole situation, thanks to you. I figured you wouldn’t mind seeing a little preview.” Veronica shook her head in disbelief. “No, I’m just impressed that this is what awaits you at home. Can I borrow Maverick for a little while? I’ll show him how to properly dominate you and then send him back to you!” she joked. Deep down though, Veronica wasn’t joking. She’d always fantasized about playing with Laurie and Maverick.

Laurie blushed deeply and quickly took back her phone. “Well, it seems we’re making progress. Hopefully, we’ll get to where I want us to be soon,” she said, still feeling flustered by Veronica’s comment about Maverick’s size. Veronica’s mischievous grin only grew wider. “I have no doubt that you two will get there. You’re perfect together, and I can see that Maverick is really trying to connect with you on a deeper level.” She gave Laurie a knowing wink before turning to leave the office.
