After school, Cooper took me to his parents’ coffee shop, and after a brief interview, they offered me the job, which I quickly accepted. I was due to start this Saturday. So neat, I’ll make $231.00 less tax for working six hours on Saturday and Sunday.

Cooper dropped me at home, and we had an early dinner before visiting Mum. I told her I had a part-time job at a coffee shop as a server at the local shopping centre starting this Saturday.

As we ate, he said, “Jess, would you like me to pick you up and take you to work tomorrow? I start at eight. I know you start at eight-thirty, but it would allow Mum to show you things and fit you with two polo shirts with the coffee shop logo and name?”
