Lïn called for the cat, who, in a very charismatics manner, chose to ignore any and all attempts from the young lady to attract his attention, not scared nor interested, he stretched his paws, first his front legs, then he arched his back, looking like a dark hairy horseshoe, and finally he made a show of stretching is posterior legs, lifting one of them a little bit of the ground, as if the animal had been sleeping for the entire day.
After the impressive display, the cat started to walk, Lïn, without any other leads or knowledge of the town, followed closed by.
The cat walked through what once must have been the main avenue, remnants of shops littered the otherwise unremarkable facades of the run down buildings, Lïn looked with intensity at each shop, as if by frowning enough at them one may give up and discover itself as the shop of the merchant.
After one of hers stare contest with a storefront she realised that the cat was not on the street anymore, she felt her heart sunk and immediately picked up the pase, looking at the alleyways that poured of the avenue, like branches of a tree, she felt relieved when she found the cat, staring at her in the middle of a narrow street, with an expression that could only be described as indifference.
As soon as she started approaching the cat, he resumed his stroll, as if he had been waiting for her, Lïn took this as the definitive sign, this must be the guidance she was seeking.
The wind keep blowing, stronger as each passing minute, some rain drops started to fell on Lïn’s hat, the day was coming to an end, she had not planned to find the town in this state, she was not prepared to spent the night outside.
As her mind started to race, looking for posible options to avoid sleeping on the rain, and mentally going through the house that she had seen in the street, the cat, either aware of the storm or finally reaching his destination, crawled into a house by a large crack on the derelict wooden door.
