Ryker and Elias decided to orbit the planet and do a comprehensive scan, and locate the largest city(s). And perform more comprehensive scans.

From initial deep scans, it appeared the planet’s evolutionary scale as far as culture, society and military capabilities were comparable to earth’s during the second to third centuries A.D. meaning, their weapons were most likely spears, swords bow and arrows. And various other handheld weapons. The most populous areas and the one prime metropolis-type city was now in darkness. They would send a landing shuttle with an ATV rover to scout out some initial Intel. Both Elias and Maria were chomping at the bit to make the scouting run.
