“Sam, let me take you and your family for a little ride and show them our property,” Richard suggested, walking them towards the barn.

Sam admired the woman approaching them. She was tall and slender, despite the baggy-looking pants and work shirt she wore. She removed her wide-brimmed hat, revealing close-cut hair that formed her round head. Perfect white teeth gave her a broad smile as she hugged and kissed Moses.

“Hi Sam, good to see you again,” Leona said, offering her hand. Ellie looked from Sam to the woman who seemed to know him.

“Hi, Leona. I’m ready to work; just tell me what to do.”

“I’ll tell you what to do for me, alright!” She smiled.

“Leona, this is my wife, Ellie, and our children, Donny and Sarah.”

“Nice to finally meet you. Sam told me about his family during his visit here. Ellie, your beauty pales in comparison to Sam’s description of you.” They smiled, shaking hands and greeting her. “I look forward to working side by side with Sam and you.”

Ellie admired Leona’s figure hidden by her clothes and wondered if Sam had already fucked her. Leona noticed Ellie’s revealing dress and wondered what it might be like to be with her.

“I’m taking Washington to the lower pump,” she said, leading him from his stall.

“Every pumping site has a shelter over it to protect our workers and donkeys from the heat and sun. We take care of our livestock and our employees. Sick workers are tended to so as to cut down on the spread of any diseases.” Leona hopped up onto the wagon, sitting next to Sam.

“It sure is going to be another hot one,” Mary remarked, unfastening several buttons on her dress. She smiled at Ellie, who couldn’t help but notice the deep valley of her cleavage.

“Do you and Moses have any children?” Ellie asked.

“We have two boys and a girl, all in their teens. They’re in the fields, tending to our workers. We give them water to drink and let them rest. You’ll get to meet them soon.”

“Hearing Pearl regale us about her life is making me think twice about us possibly having sex together. I sort of feel guilty for being white, and I’m your boss. I don’t want to take advantage of you,” Sam mentioned to Leona.

“Don’t feel guilty. If you’re anything like Richard, we’ll get along just fine. I’m aware that whites continue to discriminate against blacks, but you won’t find it on this farm and very little in Fort Meade. Richard treats all his workers with respect, and they in turn work very well for him. Some workers prefer to stay here when the labor is scarce rather than travel to other farms.”

“If we don’t eventually fuck, then there’ll always be that buildup of tension and those looks of wondering. Once we’ve fucked the mystery, it will be gone, and I know we’ll work better together. They noticed that several men, women, and most children were swimming naked. “Some can barely afford the clothes on their backs,” Leona said. “There is a shelter made from bamboo that offers shade to those enjoying their relaxing time. “We have an identical covering for us to use. Privacy can lead to some good fucking.”
