Preface
Romantic Sex Story: Preface - Something Fishy chronicles the fall semester of Jack Pierce’s junior year. It follows Feasting and Summertime and the Living is easy. If you haven’t read those stories, you’ll have a tough time with this as many of the same people are included and some of their relationships are complex.
Caution: This Romantic Sex Story contains strong sexual content, including mt/ft Consensual Heterosexual Fiction School
Something Fishy Going On is a continuation of Feasting With a Silver Spoon and Summertime and the Livin’ is Easy. It picks up the story the very next day. If you haven’t read those stories, you’ll have a tough time with this because many of the same people are included and some of their relationships are complex.
I’ve put the cast of characters and a few reminders in the blog. If it’s been a while since you read Summertime and the Living is Easy, it might help to refresh your memory.
A few notes on the story, itself. The events in this take place in 1981, and it all takes place in and around Charleston, South Carolina. I’ve done my best to describe locations but the phrase, a picture is worth a thousand words is true. Some of these locations deserve a look. Google street view helps with some and a lot of folks said they used it for the first stories and it was beneficial.
Feasting began in the summer of 1980 and continues for an entire year. Summertime chronicles just the summer of 1981. Something Fishy Going on chronicles the fall semester of Jack’s junior year.
I had a lot of help from a couple of great and understanding editors. Steven did far too much proofreading and provided lots of input. I learned a lot from him. And Alex, who found lots of mistakes and tried to reign in my blatant disregard for dates and names. If you see a song that wasn’t released until 1983, it’s not because he didn’t spot it. He did and I chose to leave it in because it fit so well. If you think it’s pretty clean without a lot of grammar errors or typos, it’s because of their work.
I appreciate feedback and enjoy the opportunity to interact with readers. If you’ve got questions or comments, send me a note or comment on the story and I’ll get back to you.
I hope you enjoy the story.
