Chapter 3: My Blushing Tutor

As you recovered from the effects of the Skele-Grow, you received more cards and gifts from your fellow students. However, your focus remained on the mysterious anonymous letter. You spent the entire day pondering its sender, ruling out your best friends Rowan, Ben, and Penny, as they would surely have signed their names.

Once you were well enough to leave the hospital wing, you decided to dig deeper. Your friends had been occupied during the fortnight you were out and only managed to send their well-wishes today. You knew you’d have to investigate further, but first, you had a lot to catch up on since you’d been bedridden for so long. You had a tutor assigned to help you keep up with your studies in addition to your regular classes.

You suspected Rowan might be your tutor since he typically prepared lesson plans ahead of time. However, on your way to the common room, Penny mentioned there was a Transfiguration quiz, which ruled him out. You continued to the common room, intending to find out once you arrived.

Weary and curious, you reached the common room entryway only to be surprised by the sight of Merula Snyde. She blushed slightly as you approached her table, and you took a seat as she attempted to hide her embarrassment. “Alright,” she began, her face now crimson, “Which subject do you want to go over first?” You grinned at your audacity and replied, “Potions.”
