They entered their newly made chambers within the palace atop Mount Olympus. The three sisters looked over it with keen eyes. Nothing was missed. They were, after all, beings who knew nearly everything. Their vision was not perfect, but it was better than most deities on Olympus.
“He used magic in the final touches,” Clothos admonished.
Despite her more erratic nature, she was disappointed in Zeus’ choice. It might have been better for him to have built it with his hands and allowed them to judge him more fairly.
“As we knew he would,” Atropos pointed out.
Lachesis could not help but cackle. She ignored the present for a moment, despite the present being her favorite quality of time. “It still comes!”
“It does indeed, sister,” Atropos replied. “These Kings ... Their actions can change, but the destination remains the same, to our benefit.”
“A foot in the moment, and a foot in the future,” Lachesis said, although it felt more like a question.
“Correct, Sister,” Atropos replied before their sight of the future came into play.
