Chapter 34

The crew of Striker One had also undergone some changes.

Pat wasn’t with them to start with. Dusty wasn’t really surprised by her departure. She knew Lee had meant well, but she and James were not ready for a third in their relationship. It wasn’t that they didn’t like Pat, it was more a case of they just didn’t need her as a sexual or emotional partner.

It was plain to anyone who saw the couple together that they were totally wrapped up in each other. While Dusty was at least open to the idea of it happening at some time, she knew that James was nowhere near ready for such a huge step.

Dusty also had no intention of pushing him. The fact that she was perfectly happy just being with James meant that she hadn’t taken Pat’s hints seriously either.

Lee had lent them another mage called Sir Michel Novel. Now, he was an interesting character. He didn’t hail from either of the planets in the Delta Pavonis System. He had come from a planet called Amity.

Michel was thirty-three years old. He was 170cm tall and a Nature Mage with Lore and Energy skills. He was handsome with a slim figure, had large purplish eyes, fair skin and hair, and pointed ears. He had been born in a town called Iron Hills on the continent called Galina.

Michel’s father was a Lord of the region. As a result, Michel had a lordly bearing when he walked. However, his ready smile, charm and general good humour attracted people to him.

He had told Lee that a man called Storm Green, who had been born in Queensland, Australia, had found a transportation portal on Earth while caving on an island, and he had been transported to Amity.

Storm had found a Lord Wizard’s box in the portal room under his house in Iron Hills. He’d then had a lot of trouble sorting out some bad wizards in the months that Michel had known him.

Michel had thought to settle down with one of the local girls, but Storm’s appearance had an effect on him and when he learnt of other planets, he wanted to go visit them.

Storm had rescued some slaves and had to take them home to their continent called Saran. Michel was disappointed that he had left. One day he went hiking and found some caves in the side of the mountain they lived on. He’d walked through this weird energy field over one of the tunnels and eventually wound up in Storm’s portal cavern.

He’d stepped up onto the dais and wondered if other worlds had wizards on them. The next thing he knew, he was covering his ears as a loud sound assaulted them. He soon learnt he was on Watson Island, Harmony.

Lee took him in and gave him a magical box. She then sent him to Magical School to learn the basics. He had spent most of the previous year at the school. He had been visiting with Lee when he had overheard her talking about replacing Pat.

Pat seemed unhappy that Dusty and James didn’t want her. He had volunteered to replace her since he had also finished his Shield training. Lee had thought about it and then grinned and agreed.

She had dropped him off the next day and had taken Pat home.

Michel had been in seventh heaven ever since.

He loved meeting new people, and since he was naturally bi-sexual and now a Shifter, he had no trouble finding willing lovers while on Sheldon.

Michel wasn’t sure about the dynamics of the ship’s crew that he was joining since Pat had pretty much been left without a partner. He soon found that he got on best with Kola and his girls.

He particularly liked Quean, or Que as they now called the doctor, as he had a thing about smart women, and he loved her big tits. He also liked her height, as he wasn’t fond of having partners who were a lot taller than he was.

As the week went on, he noticed that Que wasn’t immune to his charm, but he didn’t want to break up a triad. He decided to see how things worked out and found his entertainment elsewhere while on the planet.

Kola and Tale had noticed Michel’s interest in Que. The night before they left, Tale dropped a hint to Que that if she was interested, she and Kola didn’t mind if she wanted to try him out.

Que was relieved as she had also noticed how close the other two had become since they were on the planet while she was often busy helping Whitney, and the others settle in.

While she didn’t wish to leave the triad totally, she did like the idea of having a man of her own. She had enjoyed her odd night with Pat and had realised that while she loved being with Kola and Tale, she may not be in love with them. She hinted to Tale that they should all get together on the odd occasion.

Tale chuckled and replied, “Kola said that you’d say that, and he is agreeable. If you want to sleep with Michel in your cabin that would be fine by us as we’ll use my cabin. If either or both of you wish to join us, the door will be open to both of you.”

Que went and found Michel. “Hi, honey, we need to have a little chat about sleeping arrangements before we take off,” she told him.

Michel looked at her keenly. He knew that they didn’t know him very well after only a week, but he had an idea of what this chat would entail.
