Historical Sex Story: Cast of Characters - Nate and his three girlfriends have graduated from college at last and prospects are good—except for the draft board insisting Nate still has to complete alternative service. But Nate's alternative service will be unlike any that has gone before. It leads him all over the world as he and Ronda visit embassies to install new passport cameras. AUTHOR’S NOTE: The names and locations of embassies and consulates in this book and the descriptions of chanceries are as accurate as I could dig up for 1972-75. The names of ambassadors and government employees have all been made up because they are part of the fictional story. When the name of a historic personage is used, it is in context with the record of what that person actually said or did. This is historical FICTION, not history.
I found no evidence that Polaroid devices were installed in the embassies and consulates for the purpose of making passports, although the equipment described mostly existed. To my knowledge, the process has always involved sending the photo and the information to a service center for manufacture. The Polaroid controversy in South Africa is historic, though, and has been related as accurately as I could make it.
These characters are continued from the first five books in the series. Minor characters who may not appear again have been excluded. When ages are given, they are as of the end of Over Exposure, May 19, 1972.
Nate and Family
Nate Hart. 22yo new graduate from Columbia College Chicago studying photography. Narrator of the story. Operates Attic Allure photography studios in a space above Camera Warehouse in Chicago and in a second-hand store in Stratford, Ontario. Has three girlfriends and a mistress.
Kat Hart. 16yo brown-haired sister of Nate. Artist.
Joyce Hart, Rev. Nate’s mother. United Methodist minister in Sage, IL.
Rich Hart. Nate’s father. Working as an electrician in Sage after having cancer surgery.
Deborah & John Lindal. 30yo sister of Nate and her husband. They have two children, Cameron & Anthony. John served with Tony in Vietnam. John is about to re-activate in the Army.
SSgt. Naomi Hart. 28yo sister of Nate, serving in the Air Force.
Nate and Grace Mayer. Nate’s uncle and aunt. Nate is a freelancer for various people who need special services, like a bodyguard. Also acts as Nate’s agent.
Nate’s Extended Family
Ronda May. 22yo blonde, former high school cheerleader. Nate’s girlfriend, studying International Relations at University of Chicago. Soon to graduate.
Dr. Joseph & Susan May. Ronda’s parents. Dr. May has supplied many Tenbrook girls with birth control pills.
Danny May. 17yo brother of Ronda.
Nora May. 27yo sister of Ronda, studying to be a veterinarian.
Anna Marx. 22yo brunette. Nate’s first girlfriend after he moved to Tenbrook. Broke up and then returned to become a girlfriend again with the gathering family. Just graduated with an accounting degree.
Don & Nancy Marx. Anna’s parents. Don is an accountant and helps with Nate’s business taxes.
Rick Marx. 14yo brother of Anna.
Patricia Berg Kowalski. 22yo blonde model and Nate’s girlfriend. Tony’s widow. Mother of Toni.
Antonia “Toni” El Kowalski. 3yo daughter of Patricia and Tony. Nate’s goddaughter.
Elise & Tor Berg. Patricia’s parents. Live in Tenbrook.
Ellie & Jim Kowalski. Patricia’s in-laws, Tony’s parents.
Vanessa Kowalski. 16yo brunette. Tony’s younger sister.
Adrienne Baudelaire. 31yo blonde model and the family’s mistress. Lives in Los Angeles. Manages the relationship between Nate and the movie production crew.

Elizabeth “Beth” Marsh. 22yo comedienne former girlfriend of Nate’s from Chicago. They broke up in a major tiff in Canada at the end of F/Stop.
