Chapter 2

In late October, Sara’s and Sam’s Church sent out a notice to the congregation suggesting that families open their homes for Thanksgiving dinner to students at the local college. The notice listed several students who would otherwise have no place to go for the holiday.

Sara didn’t pay attention to the notice until the following week, when she spoke with Renee about Thanksgiving plans. She was deeply disappointed when Renee told her that she wouldn’t be coming home for Thanksgiving but instead would be joining Rob with his family in Vermont this holiday.

At that point, Sara remembered the Church’s notice and imagined how nice it would be to have several cute co-eds in the house, and maybe stay overnight. Just the idea brought back memories of Renee and her sleepover friends and made Sara’s clit tingle a bit. So, she raised the notice with Sam:

“Sam, I spoke with Renee about Thanksgiving this evening. She isn’t coming home! Instead, she is going to be with Rob’s family. That means that it will be just you and me alone on Thanksgiving – what a depressing thought! We might as well just go to IHOP for a turkey dinner since it doesn’t make sense to cook a big Thanksgiving meal for just the two of us. What do you think about taking the Church up on its notice and inviting a few lonely college students here to share our meal?”

“How many were you thinking of?

“I thought maybe a few co-eds, maybe 2 or 3. It would fill out our table and I do miss Renee and her friends.”

Sam agreed, and Sara began calling the co-eds on the list to invite a few for Thanksgiving. There were just a few girls on the list because most of the female students were either going back home or had made other arrangements already. And Sara found that all of the girls on the list had already been called by other congregants. All that were left were a few male students.

So, Sara went back to Sam:

“None of the girls are available at this point. How about we just invite a male student then, Sam. You and he can watch the Bears-Lions game together.”

Looking down the list of students in the Church’s notice, Sara suggested that they see if Joseph Murphy was interested in joining them. He was a college freshman from California, so this would be his first Thanksgiving away from home and he probably would enjoy a home-cooked meal after a few months of college cafeteria food.

After an exchange of emails, Joseph was invited to join them.

On Thursday afternoon, while Sara prepared the meal, Sam picked Joseph up at his dorm.
