Chapter 13

Epilog

My name is Waylon Connor, and I am the Great, Great, Great, Great, Great Grandson of Clan Patriarch Jebidiah Connor. I am also the current Clan Patriarch of Clan Connor, Mary’s current Bearer, and the Empire’s Ambassador to Earth.

A lot has happened in the two hundred years since Earth ratified the Alliance Agreement with the Empire. There are so many related and overlapping items that have happened that it is hard to list them in any sort of chronological order.

Let’s start with how Clan Connor came into existence, since that has a bearing on many of the things that have happened during the past few centuries.

Clan Connor’s creation in Patriarch Jeb’s words...

“I didn’t understand what was going on for many years, but it all started when I met Alicia Creswell. We planned to get married, but then we almost immediately added Madge Fairbanks and then Phyllis Creswell to our relationship.

“Alicia, Phyllis, and Madge decided none of them would marry me. They would just live with me and use Connor as their last names. “We added Elba Hart to our relationship about two years later. When my wives decided it was time for our family to have children, Mary found us more wives. When our family reached ten wives, we had to modify our relationship. That was the start of Clan Connor in my opinion. It was shortly before our first child was born, when my wives legally changed their last names to Connor. It became tradition for any male marrying into clan to change their last name to Connor before they married a member of Clan Connor.

“Mary and my ten wives decided we needed multiple families and the new families should be limited to a maximum of five wives. They decided I would live with each family for a short time and then move to the next family.

“That phase of our relationship lasted until after we started our fourth family. Things got complicated when we started talking about a fifth family. I had twenty eight wives and had reached my limit. Not even a Stage 3 enhancement would increase my sexual capacity or allow me to have enough time to form a relationship with additional wives. In fact, I was struggling to have any type of meaningful relationship with my current wives.

“What we did was define our original family, me and my first ten wives, as the Level 1 family. Our four additional families were Level 2 families. My poor relationship with my Level 2 families and lack of a regular strong male presence for the children resulted in my taking a co-husband for each of the four families who would live with the family; I would make periodic visits. That improved the dynamics of my four families’ life and relieved my sexual overload. My Level 1 wives enjoyed my increased sexual vigor.

“As my children reached adulthood, Mary found wives for my adult male children and new families were formed with my sons being the Leaders of the new families. When it was time for my adult female children to create a family, Mary would find a suitable man to be their husband. My sons’ and daughters’ spouses also received the first two stages of enhancement. The size limit on the Level 3 and subsequent levels of families was eliminated.

“Since my children’s families from our Level 1 and Level 2 families became our Level 3 families, it was decided that when the children of the Level 3 families married and created families the resulting families would be our Level 4 families. Like before, Mary found spouses for the adult male and female children of the Level 3 families. The Level 4 spouses would receive the first two stages of enhancement.

“The tradition of the children of one level of families marrying and creating a new family on the next lower level of families was continued as subsequent generations created families. That process may not be clear for we were not only adding additional levels to our family tree, but we also adding new families to the existing levels of the family, excluding the Level 1 and Level 2 families. As the higher level of families continued to have children, their children would become adults and form a new family, which was added to the next lower level of Clan Connor.

“The male heads of the Level 3 and subsequent levels of families were allowed to have as many wives as they could support financially and sexually, and they were given the title of Leader. I was given the title of Patriarch. Eventually, our families were referred to as Clan Connor and the titles of the male heads of the families became Clan Leader and Clan Patriarch.

“Once a family was created, it continued forever because if the Leader of an existing family passed away, Mary and his wives replaced him with a new husband, who became their Leader. As the Leader’s wives passed away, Mary found new wives for the Leader, and the family continued its existence.

“As I recall, after the final meeting ended, JAMP Enterprises went through a growth spurt by adding subsidiary LLCs. As JAMP grew, most of our new employees were hired from outside Clan Connor. However, my Level 1 and Level 2 wives were also hired by JAMP to fill key roles in the company. Mary didn’t pick dummies to be my wives, so they were hired to fill senior management positions.

“As the Clan created Level 3 families, the management of JAMP’s subsidiary LLCs was assigned to one of our Level 3 families. The adult children of the Level 3, and subsequent levels of the family, became the employees of our subsidiary LLCs. Eventually JAMP and its LLCs became a family business with only a few employees who were not Clan members. Those few employees were hired due to their qualifications to fill specific positions in JAMP’s LLCs, and it was not unusual for them to marry into Clan Connor.

“As I said, all of the families’ Leaders and their wives received the Stage 1 and Stage 2 enhancements. As a result, all of their descendants had inherited the physical and mental traits that we gained from the enhancements. Although it was necessary to provide spouses from outside the Clan with the Stage 1 and Stage 2 enhancements. However, Clan Connor gained the ability to do our families’ enhancements about thirty years after I was named the Ambassador to Earth. We provided enhancement to all of our key personnel and their families.

“One of the first things I did when the Embassy opened was to promote Lieutenant Nick Thelt to Captain and place him in command of the Embassy’s Security Department. He was later promoted to Major, and eventually attained the rank of Colonel before he retired.

“Vert went to the Altairian Officer Academy and returned to the platoon as a Lieutenant. Nick and Vert married several years after Simon and Relpt married. Both couples were blessed with many children. Since Nick, Vert, and Relpt were key personnel in the Embassy, they also received the Stage 1 and 2 enhancements. Before I met him and due to his position on The Seeker, Simon had already received those levels of enhancement.

“My ladies, Mary, and I eventually moved into the Embassy. The farm became part of the Embassy compound and Major Thelt provided for our security needs. We demolished the farm’s original buildings, while retaining our satellite office building. My wives used that building when they performed their JAMP duties. They commuted between the Embassy and the satellite office using one of our hovercars. I don’t recall when but we created an LLC to sell hovercars on Earth. The FFA surrendered and finally created a new class of aircraft to address the design standards and operation of hovercars.

“We knew that my Ambassadorial duties would result in us receiving visitors who would stay for several days while they conducted their official business. We constructed short-term living quarters for the visitors we expected to visit us from the Empire and the Earth’s governments.

“After Johnson and Tailor Construction’s original owners passed away, the new owners weren’t as reliable as their predecessors. When their business was close to receivership, we created an LLC that purchased Johnson and Tailor Construction. JAMP Construction LLC is now a very large, highly respected business in the construction industry.

“The Seeker returned to Earth on several occasions after I became the Ambassador. During its last visit, which was close to eighty years ago, Simon Tanat, I, and our wives had dinner with Ship Commander Shimlt, onboard The Seeker. Simon chose that occasion to inform Cindy and us that he and Relpt intended to retire from the Exploration Force. They would remain on Earth in their current capacities, and they were looking forward to raising a large family on Earth; Nick and Vert already had two children and a third was on the way.

“The one thing that is guaranteed to extract Mary from the Time Continuum is her breeding program. She made me and my wives aware of the program before the Altairians first arrived in orbit around Earth and why her program was necessary.

“Since then, any time we became aware of something concerning her program, we let Mary know why we needed her to communicate with us. Our message is like a leash that jerks her out of the Time Continuum.

“During her initial explanation of her breeding program, Mary didn’t explain to us that the aggression gene is a recessive gene in the Empire and the submission gene was the dominate gene. It was rare in the Empire for a person to have two aggression genes. But on Earth, it was common for Earth humans to have two aggression genes. According to Mary, that was why the people of Earth were so aggressive.

“Mary only wanted men and women in her program who had no aggression genes. I had the double submission gene, but my ladies didn’t. Madge had two aggression genes, which was evident in her behavior. Mary said she had made an exception for them having the aggression gene for she needed them as Facilitators to counterbalance my lack of aggression, although I never considered myself to be a submissive person.

“Initially, Mary also failed to explain to Alicia and me that our relationship would be expanded by us taking on additional wives. I don’t know what influence she used, but so far, all of my ladies have been willing to accept additional women into our relationship. Mary arranged for our new ‘wives’ to have the Stage 1 and 2 enhancements because Mary wanted all of our children to inherit our Stage 1 and 2 traits.

“It goes without saying that most of our new wives have two submission genes and they tend to be submissive people. Maybe our new wives’ submissive natures is the reason my initial women were willing to accept additional women into our relationship. I know our Stage 1 and 2 enhancements have definitely affected Alicia, Marge, Phyllis, Elba, and my sex lives. My four original ladies are aggressive women in the bedroom, which my subsequent wives enjoyed.

“Our sex life is nowhere near the norm. It resembles what you read about in those adult stories you read online. We quickly realized that our extended lives and perfect health meant each of my ladies was likely to have many children.
