Chapter 4: Convincing Kitty (Part 1)

That afternoon, Henry asked Kitty to walk with him on his daily exercise outing around the neighborhood. That itself was not unusual. Henry and Kitty often walked together for exercise while Jenna did the housework in the afternoon.

“Kitty, I have to talk to you about how serious our financial situation has become. You know the restaurant is closed and our family income has just about dried up. But our family expenses, like rent for the restaurant, mortgage, and your school tuition hasn’t changed.”

“Dad, I can drop out of St. Theresa and go to public school in the Fall if that helps.”

“Well, it might help in the Fall, but our problem is right now, this Spring and Summer If we don’t do something immediately to get a lot more money we will lose the restaurant and all the money we invested in it.’

“Dad, what I can I do to help?”

“Well, there is something you and your mom can do to bring in money right away. Sweetie, do you know what ‘porn’ is?”

“Of course I do, Dad. Everyone knows what it is. You really can’t avoid it when you are online. I mean, like you are searching for something like “Disneyland” and mistype it, and boom, instead you get some weird porn site that is showing people doing it.”

“So you have actually seen it?”

“Yep, everyone in my school has at some point.”

“Tell me what you have seen?”

“Am I in trouble Dad?”

“No, sweetie, I just want to know what came up that you have seen.”

“Well, people doing it.”

“OK. Sweetie, how did all that make you feel.”

“Disgusted, Dad.”

“You weren’t a little excited by any of it?”

“Dad! This is getting very personal. What is this about?”

“Well, I tried lots of ways to get a loan from banks or the government and nothing has worked. I talked today to a man who actually produces porn and he says that he will pay for porn made by people who are just regular folks, not actors or actresses. He offered a lot of money to film our family.”

“You can’t be serious. That is very weird. You and mom making a movie doing it. Gross!”

“Sweetie, it wouldn’t be me and Mom. It would be you and Mom. I am going to show you a video on my phone that is the kind of video he makes. It is shocking at first, but please just keep an open mind when you see it.”

Then Henry showed Kitty the “plain vanilla” Nord video ending in mother and daughter sitting side-by-side on the couch masturbating with vibrators.

“Eww, Dad.” Is that what you talked to that porn man about?”

“Well, sweetie, he actually wanted you and me to do something together but I told him ‘No Way.’ I couldn’t ever do that. So that is when he brought up the video of the mother and daughter and showed me that video.”

“So, the plan is for me and mom to undress on camera and do the stuff that those German people did? Does Mom know about this?”

“Well, not yet. I decided to talk to you first. Have you ever heard of the expression ‘Desperate times call for desperate measures?’ I wouldn’t be raising this if our situation were not really desperate.”

Kitty then increased her pace and walked away from Henry. This didn’t go the way that Henry had planned. But he let her go, knowing that she would have to process all of this on her own, and really fearing how he would ever broach the subject to Jenna.
