Without the children around, we conducted our Saturday morning, adults-only, nude breakfast. I was up before the others and took stock of our breakfast fixings. Consequently, when people started to arrive in the kitchen I was ready to serve up mini-omelets. They were a hit with Jane who marveled at my culinary skills.
I marveled at Jane. She sat at the table with her teardrop breasts signaling that she was still aroused from the sexual atmosphere in the house. Of course, there were other breasts around too, but I saw those all the time.
Under great duress – Not! – I was coerced into making love with Jane again. We hadn’t showered, so were sexually gamy from the amusements we’d enjoyed the previous night. All that did was egg me on to show her I didn’t care and was still up for romancing her and her spectacular little British cunt. I loved her egging me on with her English accent.
Forty minutes later, we declared victory with some more orgasms, and then a long shower where I gave Jane a massage and a genuine sexy hair wash. I got some longing looks of love from her. She liked me – a lot.
Later in the morning, Mel, Katie, and Jane fired up the computer in the living room that they’d often used for work. This time for show-and-tell of their software for Jane. I did some cleaning in the public rooms and set out to pay some bills online. I was at a desk at the other end of the room. At one point, I listened and watched Mel and Katie giving the demonstration. They were deep into the capabilities of the software, even using the new mall design that I was about to implement.
Jane’s questions to each were explicit, based on knowing a lot about CAD software, and insightful. Further, they were deep and strategic, and not the kind of questions that a casual friend would ask. There were many that dealt with customer needs, market size and potential, and what Katie and Mel saw as unfulfilled needs in the software. The three also talked about Tracy’s work using artificial intelligence techniques in the design software.
We gathered for lunch about one o’clock. Again, I played chef and served up some soup and sandwiches, buffet style. After we were all seated and happily ensconced in the meal, I turned to Jane. I needed to know what was afoot.
“Jane, why are you really here?” I kept the question short and simple, and I smiled in a way that let her know that I knew she had another agenda besides what she’d announced to Mel and Katie.
Jane locked eyes with me, and I think could see that I wasn’t about to truck some wimpy answer such as ‘to see my new friend’.
Jane said, “I want to buy Decorating and Design Software.”
Mel and Katie just about fell back in their chairs. I wasn’t surprised. They apparently hadn’t seen the forest through the trees the way that I did.
Mel practically screamed, “WHAT?”
Jane said, “I’m sorry for my deception. I learned enough from you in London to know that my company might be interested in your software. I told you that I was an escort, and I am. I am also a venture capitalist with a British firm that is interested in tech, particularly software packages that could benefit from A.I.
“We may try to buy or we may invest for a share of the company. In this case, we’d like to buy. We have some other software being developed and sold by a company in London area, that is about four generations ahead of the AutoCAD and AutoDESK software currently on the market, and those aren’t being upgraded very rapidly.
“We want to fold in your product with ours, especially adding a heavy dose of A.I., which we have a leg up on from the purchase we just made of Thames Software. If we were keeping it pretty much as is, I’d only want to buy into a share of the business for some growth capital. This time, however, we want to integrate the two suites together into a whole new package.”
There was silence in the room. My three ‘wives’ each held a sandwich in hand but were unmoving but staring between Jane and me.
I asked, “How much?”
Jane said, “We were hoping for $32 million based on the current state of the software.”
Mel started to hyperventilate. Katie reached out and squeezed her hand to calm her down but they remained mute, which was good. I even shot them a glance that I hoped signaled to keep quiet.
I said, “What if the sale took place after some of the A.I. work that Tracy wants to apply to the software or there was follow-on consulting by these principals? I heard you asking about that.”
“A little higher,” Jane posited.
I said, “$50 million, with our best effort full-out to improve the software between now and June 30th. After that, we continue to consult as you need us at competitive rates on improvements and for our help to integrate into whatever else you want to blend the DDS package with. Any travel is first class on your nickel. Katie will be off the grid from July for at least six months. Any mediation or adjudication takes place in Ohio.”
Jane studied me, no doubt assessing my authority and sincerity in making that offer on behalf of my wives. Other than making sounds of amazement neither of them had said anything.
At least I had learned a few things sitting in on the recent deal making that Carson Steele had been making at SPT. I stared Jane down and kept my mouth shut. In negotiations like this, he who talks first at this point loses.
Jane countered, “$45 million.”
I looked at Mel and Katie. They both nodded, but they would have sold out for less than a million...
I said, “Looks like we have a deal. I reached over and shook Jane’s hand. I indicated that Mel and Katie and Tracy should also do the same.”
I said, “I assume you have some lawyers that’ll draw up the paperwork?”
“We do. I’ll get that underway on Monday. Do you have counsel?”
“We probably will by the middle of next week.” I was thinking that Carson was very happy with the firm in Columbus that SPT used. I hope they could take us on.
I got out a bottle of champagne, popped the cork, and we had a toast to the future and the successful integration of Decorating and Design Software into the other software Jane mentioned.
Even with the champagne, the soup and sandwiches got eaten.
I shifted the discussion away from business. The deal had been struck. Mel and Katie were both numb, but wisely not saying much.
I mentioned that we had guests coming later for some additional social fun, and that we should not discuss what just transpired until the deal was complete. Jane especially liked that idea. Mel and Katie were readily agreed. Tracy nodded.
As we sat around, I posed, “So, you said you still did escort work? How’s that fit in with the VC work?”
Jane laughed. “It doesn’t. I always hope that none of my venture capital contacts happen to want a call girl for some special event or an evening of sexual fun, and I end up being the entertainment. I’m prepared if that happens, but it’d be cleaner if it didn’t.”
“You alone?”
“Six partners in the VC company and many secondary partners or shareholders. Only two of them know of my penchant for sexual exploration, but not from first-hand knowledge. One saw me out at a social event dressed to the nines and very unlike my ‘at home’ style. I like to top out when I’m escorting. It’s part of my signature.”
“Repeat clients?”
“Oh, yes. Even a couple that keep proposing marriage – even open marriages like you have. I don’t think that I’m into marriage or monogamy, as you could probably tell. That was what first turned me on to Mel when we met. When we were in a short break, I asked what she did, and she said enough of the right words I knew I had to pursue this.
“Just so you know, I did a lot of due diligence on each of you, DDS, your staff, and the deals you set up in Europe, which we’ll continue to honor. I just needed to see the ‘real’ software for myself and make sure it wasn’t vaporware. That happened this morning. Moreover, you were so enthusiastic about it and the future improvements that I could see we’ll be friends for a long time.”
“How about your other clients?”
“I’m what you call ‘high end’. If you have to ask the price you can’t afford me. I’m usually out two or three nights a week, and an occasional weekend flying to and fro some pleasure spa.
“Any stateside?”
