Chapter 27: First Steps
Fiction Sex Story: Chapter 27: First Steps - [Completed 7/1] Ace and his girlfriend Laura are on the way to his parents' annual month living in a nudist camp. It has all the amenities including swimming and sports, but the real attractions are after dinner, where campers meet and party together. Nobody under 18 is permitted in camp, so maximum freedom exists behind closed doors. Ace worries he won't be able to stay limp and follow the camp's public rules. But Laura has plans for regulating him.

As the evening went on, Iris and I kept talking. I’d never seriously considered a military career. Given my comprehensive ignorance, Iris had to explain quite a bit about how her life had been shaped—along with Ella’s, Irwin’s, and even Tina’s.
“I was just getting to know Tina when I ruined everything. No wonder she’s so upset with me.”
Iris raised her hand. “Stop that bullshit. At worst, you revealed something about yourself in a clumsy or inappropriate way. How many times do we have to go over this? Ace, you didn’t mean to hurt her! If there’s one thing I know, it’s discipline. Behave, or I’ll cancel your shore leave.”
“Aye aye.”
“Better. Tina has had a lot of disruption in her life, because she and Irwin would have frequently moved from one duty assignment to the next. She’s nervous, Ace, and you need to respect that. Back to business. First, you’re going to meet with your parents.”
“Yeah, I think that’s right.”
“Tonight, you stay with me. In the morning, I’ll bring you coffee and a pastry. After that, your parents can wait for you in their cabin. But I won’t be involved any further with them. I meant what I said.”
“I think you might help me explain things to them, Iris.”
“No fucking way. I’ve learned something about you.”
“Really? What is it?”
“You’re perfectly capable of communicating. You just need to stop beating yourself up and remember that.”
“Remember what?”
Iris reached out with both hands and gripped my shoulders.
“Ace! You are a fantastic young man with tremendous character. If Tina lets you get away, it might be the worst decision of her young life. I’m not saying you’re ‘made for each other’ or ready for marriage—you’re both too young. I’m saying you owe it to yourselves and each other to spend more time and explore the possibilities.”
“Oh ... I don’t know if that can be true.”
Iris let go of me and slapped the table loudly, then stood and paced around the room.
“You don’t listen very well. I’ve spent months and months cooped up on board a Sentinel-class cutter with about half the living space of a three-bedroom house. But instead of four people in that house, there are thirty-five souls on board, crammed into much less space and sleeping on racks three levels tall. Most of those thirty-five are young adults our age.”
“Wow.”
“Yeah. Now don’t get me wrong. I have the highest regard for my shipmates. They make many sacrifices to keep our country safe. But here’s the simple truth: out of all the young men and women I’ve served with, I have a sure and certain opinion of you.”
Iris came back to me and locked eyes with mine.
“I swear, if you keep arguing with me, you’re sleeping outside tonight in the dirt.”
“Wow,” I repeated, because I had no idea what else to say.
“I’ll go further. If your parents can’t appreciate you, I’ll fucking adopt you myself.”
“Oh, my goodness. Iris, c’mon ... you don’t need a dependent. You just told me money’s tight.”
“Well, yeah. But I was making a point.”
“I’ll behave, then. I’d like to sleep in a bed tonight.”
“Good. Because I have one more requirement. I know a romance for us isn’t possible, but I want to sleep—just sleep—together in the same bed tonight. I went months without any privacy while on board and then in the hospital ward.”
“I guess I can understand that. You ... want to cuddle with me?”
“Desperately.”
“I’d enjoy that, as long as I can keep my shorts on for, um, security.”
“I’ll agree to that stipulation. I’ll turn off the lights, and then we can snuggle.”
I couldn’t suppress a smile. If things had gone differently at this camp, I might have—better I put that thought aside.
Birdsong was the first thing I heard in the morning. I cracked my eyes open and tried to locate myself. I was ... yeah, Ella’s cabin. With Iris. Maybe the first night I’d spent at this camp without sexual tension or concerns. During the night, we’d started out cuddling, like spoons, but with her behind me.
That was a wise choice; because my morning erection wouldn’t bother her. I needed to pee, but the wall was behind me, and I didn’t want to wake her.
In all those months that Laura was my girlfriend, we never slept overnight together. After I provided my service, I was sent home to sleep alone. Thinking back, I suspected some of those nights ended with Laura and another guy while I lay alone in my own bed.
But this—sleeping all night together—felt different. I thought, “Marriage must be like this.” So why are all the parents here so eager to hop into other beds? Like my parents, in particular.
“Ace, sweetie? You’re thinking too loud. You woke me up.”
“Oh, I’m sorry. Wait. What?”
“I don’t know—you were shrugging your shoulders or shaking your head or something. (Yawn.) I really loved sharing this bed with you last night. What about you?”
“You’re wonderful, Iris. It was amazing. I’m sorry I disturbed you; I just started fretting—not about you, of course.”
“So, what’s the problem? No, wait. You can’t live with sailors without knowing—you need to hit the head. I mean, the bathroom. I’ll slip out of your way.”
“Thanks, Iris.” I tried not to display myself as I stepped away.
When I finished, she was waiting at the door to take my place inside. When she came out, she said, “I gave you a star, Ace.”
“A star?”
“Your hands were damp, showing that you washed afterwards. Some guys don’t. Ew. So, what or who were you thinking about so loudly?”
