A story in the It's Always The Germans Universe
Mark and Lydia hit a lot of bumps during the cold war and fate eventually brings them to the other side of the globe, but even there the challenges don't end. This is the founding story of my planned "It's always the Germans" universe, which will be created when this story reaches the year 1998.
The story follows James Smith, a man who dies and finds himself in a surreal afterlife courtroom, where his life is judged as "zero sum"—neither good nor evil, just utterly average. Dissatisfied with being consigned to eternal mediocrity, he manipulates the cosmic bureaucracy into granting him a second chance in a new world, where he is reincarnated as a child with his memories intact and perks... - edited by my lovely Steven.
A story in the It's Always The Germans Universe
Jenny and Matt have been in love with each other since they were eight, despite the fact that they were separated by an entire ocean and have never met each other in person before. Both share one dream - they want to race in Formula 1 one day, preferably together. Now that they are fourteen, it is time to overcome the separation and start their way together.
A story in the Wittyverse
Kayla and her friends have graduated high school. Now it is on to college and the real world. New adventures, new loves, new friends. Yet, their crazy senior year in high school is not done haunting them. This story is a direct sequel to Birthday Pool Party. I did attempt to write the first chapter in such a way that someone who hasn't read Birthday Pool Party could follow along, but reading Birthday Pool Party first will enhance the experience.
Unfaithful, inattentive parents in a failing marriage. Bickering siblings who can barely stand to be in the same room. A sister who jetted off to college and never calls. A long list of secrets and dark histories. These are the ingredients that make up the dysfunctional Greenfield family. But the oldest son's girlfriend has a plan to help repair this fractured family, by converting them to her own family's not-so-conventional lifestyle.
Emily Thompson grew up under the shadow of her mother Laura, a woman who treated sex as both weapon and inheritance. By college she had claimed that inheritance as her own, wild, public, unapologetic. Then she fell for Jake, the only man who could match her fire. When Laura took him too, the betrayal cut deeper than anything that came before. What followed was not surrender, but a final, brutal reckoning. A dark story of power, desire, maternal damage, and the hard cost of taking your life back
