About Han van Meegeren:
Mayhap I’m a bit of an omnivore when it comes to reading. There are few genres I dislike. If the story has flaws, it’s because it’s written by a human. And it’s human to err. Machines can create perfect sentences and use words from famous authors, but they can’t create something as special as a writer’s first book. It’s a craft that is learned by doing. Bach and Mozart’s first works were not as good as their last opus, but we can witness their learning process. Just like many writers here on Storiesonline.
I love long stories. The longer, the better. I cherish the feeling of reading the third chapter, with the anticipation of dozens more to follow. It makes me happy. Most of my own stories have a BDSM-element in them, but I love to read fantasy, a love story, a coming-of-age or a lesbian story just as much.
Perhaps you will allow me to share some stories with you that yelled at me. They did not speak to me on a personal level; they screamed and shouted within me and stayed with me for days. Some books made such an impression I read them again.
We often overlook the vulnerability these writers show when they share their stories with us. I am not asking you to be kind in rating my own stories, but I cannot see the pleasure one would get in rating a story “Do you call this a story?”.
I am grateful for all the stories I have read here.
