My preferences are do-overs, fantasy, and science fiction. But like I said nothing is stopping me from reading other types, if a tag or synopsis of a story catches my eye, I'll give it a try.
If I really enjoy the story, I'll definitely want to give some feedback to the writer to motivate him/her to write more. Sometimes I'll even correct some mistakes. If I feel I can help the writer bring more readers, I'll try to review their stories.
