Entry in the 2023 Valentine's Day contest. A prized scout, “Nasty” Asteria, is tracking a ragged column of slavers through a storm-swept wilderness. It’s been years since the Fall and most zombies have rotted away. But the main threat, other humans, remain. When she encounters Julia, she must make a choice. I’ve chosen not to include the rape tag, but there are descriptions of its effects.
