Like Time of Eden and Elves (Book 1 of the series), A Spartans War continues the theme and pace of the original story. This time we are in space on various planets in different systems of the Universe still fighting the Vampire Empire. Like real life there is political intrigue and traitors as the heroes and heroines try to overcome the various obstacles and traps laid for them.
We are introduced to a new species that joins with Martin to overcome the bad guys and opens up a whole new prospect of possible future adventures.
Mikes writing style is such that you can be immersed in the action without realising it. He uses a broad brush when needed and at other times he gives the needed details to follow as the plot evolves.
This is another fireside read!
