A little bit fantasy.
A little bit sci-fi.
A little bit sim city/civilization.
A little bit of sex.

A whole lot of good!

I do hope Feral Lady continues the story line. Has the potential to be a nice trilogy. Book 2 in Von's home world. Book 3 brings him back to Von's Haven.

I will be actively watching for the next installment.

I'm honestly not sure what to say about this story, but I'll try to give it as good a review as I can.

The Bad:
The town building can get tiresome and tedious. The overwhelming lack of jealousy on the part of the women in the protagonist's life is hard to justify. The ending is a bit unfulfilling.

The Good:
The AI's discoveries can be interesting. The use of technological "Magic" is interesting. The main character is, for the most part, quite likable. The ending opens up an opportunity for one or more sequels, with some interesting universe building going on around the edges of it.

I really felt like, while I did enjoy the story, this work is more an exercise in world building than storytelling. That said, it's definitely worth a read. Take it for what it is, and don't expect much in the way of romance, and you'll find a decent story, an interesting world, and a bevy of characters from interesting to glossed-over.

I suppose that I am indicating my age here, but having only read the first 22 chapters so far, I am finding this a bit like a teenage boy's wet dream & an English "Boy's Own' adventure.

A survivor of an advanced space faring race crash lands on a "primitive" world that would probably be somewhere in our Medieval times but more socially advanced.

He must survive and his knowledge, as well as "inspirations" from an AI to his unremembered implants give him a very good edge on this "back-wood" world. His capabilities & knowledge is like magic to the locals, which both help him and also mark him attempted control by others.

This is his story, well written with a few grammar & typo errors. It has me waiting like Pavlov's dog for the next installment. I will probably go into withdrawals when adventure is over. However, with a title like "Castaway: ****" I hope that this is first of a series of many similarly written works to come. Well done!
