Maggie, a small whirlwind of a woman, invades Frank's house. She begins making demands and calling him names. It turns out she's pregnant and says he's the father! Frank is an unmarried man, the eldest of a group of siblings who run some kind of a company. He has lots of money and his huge bachelor pad, but a lot of emptiness in his life. What complicates things is that he’s never seen Maggie before!
Maggie begins to fill those empty spaces. He immediately recognizes what happened and starts taking care of her. Gradually, her standoffishness changes and she begins to treat him like a husband. As it develops, the baby's daddy is actually his married twin brother, but Frank assumes fatherhood to keep peace within the family.
What results is a very offbeat romance. I have enjoyed reading this story several times, and I think you will too.
I'm going to give it a 9 for plot because we don't see this situation too often. Technical is only a 7 because this story really needed proofing by a separate pair of eyes. It gets a 10 for appeal.
