Reviewed:
This is not your usual Swarm Cycle story. It is even better. Its been a long time since I gave a story a nine, that is an A+ the way I rate stories. It features characters that seem more real than most stories I read. It approaches the normal Swarm Cycle events differently and nicer. I urge you to read it and I expect you will agree if you are at all familiar with Thinking Horndog and his other authors approach to collecting volunteers and concubines.
Doing the numbers, the Plot is an A, an 8, with a considerable amount of events, sometimes with relatively little transitions to explain what the jump in time has occurred. I saw no errors in Technical so gave it another A grade, an 8 in my scheme of review. As I indicated before, this is a 9, even better than an A. Some reviewers give a lot of tens, I save those for stories that "blow me away" and that hasn't happened very often lately. Perhaps at six chapters the story isn't long enough to give it a ten. I certainly would be glad if it were longer, or if there were a sequel.
