Our near Bishop nearly loses it when he is asked (ask in the Navy really means 'do it now') to get a fourteen year old genius to volunteer by getting his CAP card.

The only problems are the Earth Firsters who capture his parents, holding them for ransom, in a complicated ruse which our hero's AI buddy takes care of brilliantly. After all he is a truly great contract negotiator.

Now I ask you, with a cast of such nicely written characters, can this be all JL can write of them? If so, what a waste.( hint, hint.)
