This is really not bad at all! I only read it out of curiosity and because it is short. 'Spanking' is not normally my thing, and I think it often sounds very silly when I hear about it in the news, and can be even sillier when somebody writes fiction about it. Now, if not exactly 'converted', I'm a little more 'enlightened'!
A real sense of the mentality behind it is conveyed by the author. This paragraph sums it up nicely:
'Her weekly spanking is her real life: not her job, nor her family, nor her friends. It is only on Sunday afternoons that she truly comes alive. This where she belongs. She now is where she wants to be, where she needs to be. Over his lap she will receive the one thing from life she most craves. She will find her pain, her release, her intense pleasure, and her escape. This is where she will redeem her meaningless existence from the last six days.'
Also, the manner of writing it in the 'simple present' tense and the characters being nameless is very effective. It reads as a snapshot of this particular fetish which those who practise it would no doubt enjoy very much, but those of us not in the game also get a voyeuristic pleasure out of the story.
Wow, spanking is actually quite a horny pastime - if done right, and if the arse (British spelling for me) is a good one! That's one small criticism: more attempt could have been made to describe this lady's butt a bit more vividly, especially as it is kind of the 'lead character'! I'd like to have an idea what the two people look like too.
But a very neat little effort, especially if this is a first-time author here. Very solid technically too.
I'd like to see what Edward EC can do with a more wide-ranging story or other types of sex.
