Now let me get this right, Hex is an FTL Captain, like a Master of an Ocean going vessel on Earth. Only he is travelling through the cosmos via 'folds' in space/time. He loves his job, except he is without a mate. However his freighter is diverted to a point in space occupied by an earthlike world controlled by an Artificial Inelligence he humanises by calling 'her' Andromeda. She takes the form, read Avatar, of his ideal woman and by her laws he assumes ownership of the world. His sense of duty obligates him to return to Headquarters and then gets caught up with burocracy and if not for the fact that his world will not accept anyone from accessing her property he would be pushed aside. Instead he is sent back to his lover, and his rightful place in its future and all is well again.
I enjoy Ted's fertile mind and his ability to write entertaining stories which leaves you with the desire to read another 'tedbiker book' Enjoy!
