Yet another triumph for Lazeez’s random story picker. This is JPB’s longest story by far, and, as he proudly proclaims, “The highly improbable story of Bobby Marchant (or The Life I Wish I Could Have Led).”
Okay, so it’s scarily long at 18 chapters; but don’t fret, there’s action all the way through. The number of characters is almost too great, and even the Master himself gets his Gloria and his Gail, his Madge, Marge and Mary, confused occasionally. ‘Improbable’ is one heck of a euphemism – but damn, it’s a WHOLE lot of fun. Another day spent in JPB’s world when I should have been working on my own stuff, and worth every moment.
You don’t have to finish the whole story, but I think you’ll want to. If my nineteenth year had been one-fourth as exciting as Bobby’s, I’m not sure I’d be here to recommend this tale. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. For any teenage boys reading this on their Dad’s computer, I’d like to emphasize that this is FICTION. Do not try it at home....
