My attempt at a story in the Damsels in Distress Universe. A modern day warrior whose grandfather was a Hero and who trained him finally makes it to Chaos as a Hero. Along the way he finds love with a Hero's granddaughter and finds she makes an excellent Heros Companion on Earth and Chaos. They have a very long andproductive career.

I generally like most of the Hermits' writing. I am particularly pleased with his entry to the D I D universe. One of the things that pleases me is his attempt to stay true to the genre. No three breasted greeters, no cheating with stupid earrings or props. Just going in with what he has at hand, the most dangerous weapon, his mind.
Anything more would be called a spoiler.
I do wish he would have added more flesh to the character. He could have made Chaos a little more detailed. His life on Chaos and Earth, could have been fleshed out more with a more detailed sub-plot in both places.
He DOES jump ahead and closes out the life of John after many years. Something no one else has done other than killing a Hero.
It's a quick fun read.
