This is an excellent story with an unusual ending that changes it from stroke to something else. I am not certain exactly what. Maybe biographical? Please read it and make up your own mind if it improves the story or by changing the focus reduces its intensity. There is plenty of sex, for a travelogue. We see a lot of Bangkok circa 1961.
I haven't read another story like this one on SOL, or any other site I have visited. I think you will like it.
The numbers go down like this. Plot is a seven, a B. Works fine, but not a lot of twists and turns. Lots of visits to the shower. Technical Quality is an eight, an A. I didn't see any problems. Appeal to Reviewer is also an eight, an A. It combines a stroke story, a travelogue, and biographical elements in an appealing way. On the other hand, it was a very good stroke story before the other elements added in.
I recommend the banana episode. Every story has an element that stands out. That was it, for me, for this story.
