Bluedragon's vignettes in his "Ordinary Sex Life" series have always proved to be a balm for those readers who need tiding over until the next instalment of the trials and tribulations of Ben, the young sexual savant coming of age on the West Coast. The side stories have provided enjoyable peeks into moments in Ben's life as well as illuminating the background of other popular characters.
But none of them have had the kind of impact that's delivered by the latest tale, "OSL: Morris Camp."
Set at the family camp that's been the site of many magical moments in "Ordinary Sex Life," it's the story of Nick Campbell, a young financial worker from Los Angeles whose materialistic existence is shattered by a near tragedy. Out of shape and disconsolate, he finds himself doing penance in the wilds of Northern California as a ranch hand, a job for which he's ill-suited. With the help of a few new friends, he begins to put his broken life back together. But things really take a turn when he starts a sexual relationship with a gorgeous blonde possessing a Barbie Doll figure, who needs some physical comfort in the aftermath of an unhappy break-up with her boy friend . . .
And that's as much as you'll get here. Far be it from me to spill any other beans, other than to say that this is the story for which OSL fans have been waiting since the conclusion of "An Ordinary College Sex Life 2."
Bluedragon has always been able to meld sex scenes with more plot-driven passages, and there are several rather volcanic scenes here. But readers will be more likely to laser-focus on the story rather than the sex in this vignette, which should lead nicely into the upcoming "An Ordinary College Sex Life 3." Familiarity with the series is DEFINITELY a prerequisite.
