One of the things I like about bluedragon's approach to publishing is that he waits until his long stories are complete before he begins posting. Another thing I like is that, to whet our appetites and fill in the space between books, he's taken to writing vignettes in the Ordinary Sex Life universe, tales that serve all sorts of purposes, from providing a few scenes of sexy fun all the way to filling in the psychological blanks for some characters.
"OSL: Carter" is one of the latter, the back story of the wealthy libertine who first made his appearance in "An Ordinary College Sex Life," but then was only referred to in "AOCSL2." Obviously, he's slated for a return in the final chapter of bluedragon's trilogy covering Ben's college days
Like an earlier vignette, "OSL: Elyse," "Carter" doesn't take the reader all the way to the present, but rather exposes the seeds of Carter Sheridan's immoral nature. It also reveals a surprising relationship with another character. But "Carter" is far from spoiler territory. If anything, it poses more intriguing questions as to how he developed into the charming but misogynisitic puppet master that Ben meets at Cal Berkeley.
This one is more story than stroke, but that doesn't mean that bluedragon doesn't slowly build the eroticism to a nasty conclusion. But bluedragon fans will more likely focus on the new pieces to the puzzle that will become Ben's senior year in college.
