A boy's friend finds out that he has special abilities, and uses them to change herself into what she wants to look like. In the process, she determines that he was unaware of the abilities and power, but helps him come to grips (of a sort) with it. When others find out about him, they come calling to do some killing.
For plot, I give the story a B (7). It is above average, but leaves a lot of questions unanswered. This is perhaps due to the obvious fact that this is supposed to be an entire series of stories, but real life has intruded and the author has not gotten around to writing more stories in the series.
For technical quality, an A+ (9). There were a few small mistakes, but they were very few and did not distract from the story.
For appeal, I give it a B (7) again, but only because it feels incomplete without the rest of the stories. It would be like reading half of the first Harry Potter book, knowing that there is more to come. Perhaps when the rest comes out, it will merit an A or better.
