I'm always a sucker for a good romance, and though I'm not that fond of short stories, I'm glad I picked this one!

What Took You So Long Is never going to take any literary awards, but it is a good story, well written, with a well conceived plot. Grammatically great, free of the usual faux pas, and the enormous organs that I dislike so much. (I never click on a story that has a 'size' tag!)

The characters aren't too well defined, but that's common with short stories. What does come over though, is the main protagonist's patience, steadfastness, and will to live in hope rather than die in despair.

Soppy, romantic, uplifting, but if you're looking for stroke look elsewhere. An excellent story!
