This is one of my favorite short stories on the site.
It features a young woman overcoming terrible circumstances including physical and mental abuse. Even if rape is a squick I would encourage reading this story as it is in no way glorified and helped show the strength of the female protagonist.
It's very well written with a solid plot and does feature a few consensual sex scenes between the two main characters. The only gripe I have is that it wasn't longer.
